Practical, easy to carry with me out in the woods
More than what I expected but...
First off I wanted to like the app and it does indeed have great pictures. I do feel that the descriptions are lacking. I have also not had any luck using the scientific name in the search function which is kind of a bummer. Thirdly, it lists psilocybes as poisonous which is a little dishonest I think. All in all I feel like I wasted $5, had to give it 3 stars because it still has some good features and a decent library it still needs work to be a 5star app

Great field guide
But they won’t commit on as to wether or not you can eat them. They do tell you which ones you CAN’T eat, so that’s a plus.
Lots of help
This app helped me identify and get rid of toxic fungi growing near my tomatoes. Useful for sating curiosity and developing some amateur ID skills. Would recommend.
Good app
It’s quite useful while out walking around, but I find several types aren’t in the database. I’m sure it will continue to improve over time. I use it all the time!

A very good reference for someone like me who knows nothing about fungi.
A little overpriced for the number of species
5 dollars seems like a bit much when many of the categories only have one species. Very limited use.
Great app (needs more)
The app is a great idea just need more species listed and their ranges. Also if you could group them but Order, Family or Genus that would be much more helpful in ID’ing
Database needs to be expanded and search feature should be improved.
Stunning pics with a limited database. The search feature is pretty poor. The results produced did not match any of the characteristics I entered. The app is ok as it is now but has the potential to be much better. I hope they keep making improvements.
terrible! no instant photo id like other apps
TERRIBLE! Don’t waste your money! Other apps let u snap a photo of mushrooms you find this one does not! Terrible mushroom ID! When i put in precise mushroom descriptions, its comes up with mushrooms that are NOTHING like i’m describing! If you try to userhis to ID mushrooms, it couldcost you your life!!!

Well made
Solid, nice pictures, nothing is edible without expert advice and either I’m the world’s leading discoverer of uncategorized fungi or their database for North America is rather incomplete. How about an upload for identification option?
Great app needs more content
If only there were more mushrooms and descriptions in this app. Good idea just need to build it out more. Good work. I want something as visual as this just more complete.
Ok but not great
This is missing a ton of common mushrooms and really scarce in what it offers. It also doesn’t tell you where in North America you can find the mushrooms. Taking pictures and doing a google search for free is more useful.
Sucks
I live in the boreal plain ecozone of Canada and there no relatable material. Besides that, there library is small. Not worth it!
Not too good
This app is lacking a bunch! It doesn’t have lots of very common mushrooms that you would actually find in the woods. (Turkey tail, chicken of the woods, only one oyster)
It also does a very poor job of giving a good description of key features needed to identify some mushrooms. Also, why wouldn’t list the spore print color for every mushroom? That’s very important!
I’m very disappointed in this app and feel like I just threw $5 in the garbage. If you are serious about identifying mushrooms, this app is not good.

I like it.
Great pictures. Makes identification so much easier. I’ve recommended it to my friends who enjoy camping, hiking, photography.... etc.
Saved my life!
I’m a turkey hunter and while hunting I found what looked and smelled like morels but after checking this site I found out they were false morels and not good to eat! Thank you for your site! You saved me from getting really sick or worse!

This app is a winner it shows all the mushrooms in great detail and has good descriptions of them all great job

It doesn’t have enough mushrooms on the app there are many more out there other than that it’s a great beginner app
