Stops playing in the background / crashes

How are you gonna have subscriptions and not allow the app to play in the backgroundβ€” at first it was fine up until maybe a week or two after i started to use the app without the subscription. I figured with it, maybe it’ll continue, but it doesn’t. This is a minor issue that hopefully can be fixed. And it crashes after 4 songs?

The app is good, then bad, then it works okay, then it’s a waste of time. Not sure if YouTube is trying to stop them or if they’re just lazy about fixing things.
