Decent, but exercises are broken
The content and quizzes are decent, but many of the exercises are broken; it generates a question, but you can't select an answer. There's also a missing circle of fifths image too.
Five Stars so far!
Straight forward learning in the begging lessons -

Great App But May Need Updates for iOS 26
Hello, thank you for this wonderful music theory app, I got to review a lot of comprehensive music theory concepts and do practices. I just want to notify you that after I update my iPhone to iOS 26, the comment function no longer works, and some pictures such as the Circle of Fifth picture in the Circle of Fifth section no longer shows up. Maybe the app will need to be updated to match the iOS system as well? Thank you!

Great App
I love this app. It is easy to understand, fun to practice, and it was clearly designed by a real person who just cares about music. I highly recommend it.
Music
Every time I try to multitask like go out to go to another app then come back in I’m unable to hear the sound once I go out of the app then come back in.
Best theory App
I love this app! Best investment for myself. Use anytime. I’m 67 and this app has helped me rediscover my inner child in music and music theory.🩷👍🏽🎵🎼
Great, but needs tweaking
I love this app. I’m practicing music theory wherever I go, and for free, which is awesome! But the interface needs a lot of work, namely the portions where to create the sheet music. The builder constantly jumps back and forth across the page, it adds unnecessary notes and beats in for you, and takes a super long time to use. I think the base of this app is awesome, and with a few tweaks to the more technical aspects of it I think it could be a great tool.

Theoretically perfect
As a music teacher, I can say this is a wonderful introduction to Music Theory, the lessons are short to the point and the exams are challenging, music is a language and theory is the communication form and this app opens it up for human beings to understand

Really good so far
The note composition feature is kinda clunky, but otherwise very useful
Love this app
This of a really great app got beginners of any instrument wanting to learn basic (and more complex) theory
The format that the lessons and quizzes are provided in is very accessible and easy to use. The only thing I wish is that the app had more sections about more topics.

Frustrated
Trying to do this on my phone. Too small of an area and too sensitive to none touch. Wrong notes move when correcting a placement of a note. The edit screen blocks what I’m wanting to edit and the edits the wrong note again.
Solid app for free
I’ve been playing music a while, but was mostly self-taught so I had little knowledge of music theory. While it was hard to swallow my pride, I wanted to go back to the beginning and really try and learn and build my foundation from the ground up. for this being a free app, I have gotten so much more out of it than I expected and would highly recommend to anyone starting on a journey to learn music

Best Music Theory App
As someone new to music theory, this app goes far and above others in terms of structure, content, and ease of use. And it’s free!
good for beginners
goes over the fundamentals well and allows forums for other users to explain and help guide beginners, pretty good app
Terrible - full of wrong info
I am looking for an app for freshmen non-majors. The best use of this app would be to find the errors through it! M.C. questions with no correct answer; whole rests, half rests, and accidentals written incorrectly, and more. It appears that a non-musician created this. It could be good, conceptually, but it seems as though it was released long before a trained musician edited it for all of the mistakes.

90 percent of page content are comments
The devs of this app care more about showing people are commenting than about making a clean content.
That’s ruining the experience, and I am not using it because of it.

Quizzes and some UI broken
During quizzes, there are questions where you need to put in notes with accidentals. While adding accidentals and note attributes is not well-designed and can be challenging, this functionality usually seems to work during training sections, but is broken in the quiz section.
I’m interested in continuing to learn, but am put off by an issue that hasn’t been addressed in an update for at least 5 months, since the app was last updated.
