Not worth it

I downloaded to listen to my iTunes library with visualization. Which either doesn’t work or it’s so glitchy it might as well not work. Immediately cancelled. Very disappointed

Cool till it wasn’t

I purchased this and setup for a live DJ event. All was well until about an hour into the set when everything froze and my set was halted. I got an out of memory message that I’ve never seen until now and have to force close everything including my DJ software. It shows this app was eating over 30gb of ram. I have a M1 with 16gb of ram and I’m not using this ever again.,

Simply the best

Hands-down, the best music visualization tool. I can get my hands on today. I say that as someone that has been seeking this capability for decades. I can use it everywhere, it works right away, and I’m going to have to take it on the road!

Singularly worthy investment, and I encourage you to connect, not just your voice and your music library, but most expressively start connecting your MIDI musical instruments and DJ Rig devices. It’s very powerful so remember to explore deeply!

Great app..

Been using this app for a while now, I’ve reviewed it a couple of times, but none of them ever appear, so here’s 3rd time lucky,
I’ve been using this app for a couple of years almost, making videos to accompany the music I try to make, it has some real nice effects, I bought a couple of add ons which look amazing. I highly recommend it.
I guess my only gripe is the little ad that pops up that pauses the effects briefly when recording. But apart from that it’s a really good app.

If I could recommend anything to the Dev, it would be, I’d love to see a redesign of the text element, more fonts definitely & separate effects for them maybe, fade in/out spin, explode in/out etc I think with the array of background effects it’s already got, the results would be pretty amazing. Also the price of the effects addons they’re a little pricey.

Now 2026 still loving it!!
Great app… keep up the top work!

Ansich sehr gut. Baucht aber ein paar fixes.

Was wirklich nervig ist, ist das selbts in der Pro version oder wie die heisst, wird der text den man laufen lassen kann immer wieder auf default zurück gesetzt.
Wir wollten Audio direkt per USB in den MAC schieben. Das geht auch nur konnten wir nicht auswählen auf welch der vom Xone96 gesendeten kanäle das Programm reagieren soll. zum einen weil in dem text fenstern alles abgeschnitten ist, zum andern weil man in der App selber scheibar nicht gezielt die out selektieren kann. Sonst alles top

Kannst du mir hier ein paar mehr Details geben? Screenshots und eine genauere Beschreibung würden mir sehr helfen. Zum Text: Ich hab mal rumprobiert, wenn man in den Einstellungen den Text anpasst, dann wird er persistiert, wenn man den Mode oder Background wechselt und auch beim Speichern von Presets wird der eigene Text persistiert. Schreib mir gern nochmal genauer, wann er sich bei dir zurücksetzt. - liebe Grüße Marvin Zum Mixer würden ein paar Screenshots sehr helfen. Leider habe ich keinen zum testen da. Normalerweise kann man via Ext & Mic alle Inputs auswählen. Deine Mixer Inputs werden an Mac alle separat in den Audioeinstellungen angezeigt, aber in Vythm nicht? Sende mir gerne dazu auch ein paar Screenshots, dann schau ich mir das genauer an. PS: Ich habe in Version 8.5.0 einige neue Features hinzugefügt (OSC Support ...) und auch den Code für das Handling von Audio Inputs umgeschrieben. Update gerne mal, evtl. klappts dann ja schon mit dem Mixer. Die Daumen sind gedrückt!

No BPM detection 3 years later

It is a shame that in 2026 it still can’t figure out the bpm of songs with a strong beat when listening to the MIC in an otherwise quiet environment and it still requires manually tapping the BPM button ☹️

Excellent Visualizer

Hello Martin, I wanted to take some time out to sit down and commend you on such an awesome program. I love being able to load my music tracks up in Vythm and use the record feature to make really cool videos for content. I am currently a Full Sail student earning my Bachelor’s in Audio Production. Thank you for creating a great program. I look forward to future updates and I will be contributing to your efforts once I am able to secure some extra spending cash. Einmal steht hier PRO mit 39,99 und mehrmals mit 4,99 ABER DAS ist alles ein ABO. Leute…. Zu dem Jahresabo-Preis steht bereits „-86%“, aber, wenn ihr in den Player geht und dann erst auf FREISCHALTEN, kostet es 10 Euro WENIGER. ALLES zu TEUER, jedenfalls, wenn man suggeriert bekommt, man könnte das Programm durch Einmalzahlung kaufen

Hi, danke für dein Feedback. In der App gibt es ausschließlich Abonnements, eine Einmalzahlung wird nicht angeboten. Alle Preise werden vor dem Kauf klar im Systemdialog von Apple angezeigt. Du kannst die Paywall jederzeit schließen und die App auch ohne Abo ausprobieren. Ich verstehe nicht, warum du das Gefühl hattest, das es sich um einen Einmalkauf handelt. Visualisierung ist gleich nach Musikmachen schon immer mein Thema. Milkdrop und Winamp, so fing es an. Das war auf dem PC. Aber auf dem Mac habe ich nie etwas für mich passendes gefunden. Hier aber passt es. Mikdrop ist auferstanden und feiert hier neue abgefahrene Parties. Die Factory Presets sind natürlich gut, eine enorme Auswahl, aber es gibt für den ambitionierten Designer die Möglichkeit eigene Presets zu erstellen und in Gruppen zu organisieren und als Sahnehäubchen über Midi zu steuern.
Die Bedienungsoberfläche ist übersichtlich, skalierbar und super erkennbar auch auf kleinem Monitor. Zusammen mit Gigperformer (Live Musik App) läuft Vythm bei mir auf einem MacBook Air völlig problemlos. Der Hit für jedes kleine oder große Konzert.
