Not usable on IPhone
I do not like this app as there are too many things I have to do to make this happen, such as download iTunes and don’t want to do that.

They want drip feeding cash every month and if you don't like that it's a one off payment of 35 pounds just to unlock it and stop the stupid adds monkeymote for winamp only wants 3 or so pounds to unlock 35 is just ridiculous app deleted I would rather get up and skip it

It works well for my iPhone, but this needs to have options for audio switch to phone instead of my pc.
Works great on laptop, not on IPhone
I have had musicbee on my laptop for over a year and really recommend it. Today I downloaded the app to my IPhone and it fails to connect to my network, though IP address is correct. I am sure I could spend an hour figuring out the problem but have zero desire to do so….note: a quick dive into available documentation did not readily offer a useful solution. I am removing the app and will try again in a few months to see if developers figure out for me

There are multiple reasons why it’s not connecting in your local network. Try this: 1) Go to Settings in app, select Question mark icon on top, select Tutorial option 2) Follow installation and connection steps 3) If it still doesn’t work, follow the Troubleshooting section at the bottom You can contact me via support email as well.

But for playlist folders only one subfolder level is supported.

What’s the point? Only works on PC. Cant stream to smart speakers.
I can’t see the point of having a remote that only works on your PC. Most of the time when you’re listening to music on your PC, you’re sitting at your PC. Why would you need a remote for that?
What you do need a remote for is to play music on smart speakers, like when you’re outside at your BBQ and you want to steam from your PC and use the remote to control without having to go inside.

Exactly what I was looking for
I was wondering if there was a way to control MusicBee from my phone and found this plugin and app.
Couldn’t get it to work at first as it always said “Connection failed” but once I updated MusicBee to the current version it connected immediately.
Thanks for creating this iOS version and offering a one-time-purchase option for a reasonable price!

MusicBee So Much Better Controlled Remotely!
Have enjoyed this app a few years now and can’t imagine my music listening without it! Combined with my whole house Sonos system is a dream. While I wish there was an Apple TV version so I could display album art on my tv while titles are playing, that is a small sacrifice for an otherwise very useful and handy app. Thank you!

Meanwhile, you can get whole navidrome apps for free… I really like MusicBee but sadly this is the only app around it

Decent but needs a tweak
iOS version 2.2.1 when launched displays artist and title of currently playing tune from streaming radio, but when next new tune comes up, the display still shows the artist as it was when it was first launched even though new tune is playing. I know the info is available because if I click the 3 dots next to the artist on main screen the artist updates, just not on main screen. Thanks for writing this. I find it useful and handy especially to control volume using my phone, but if I want to see artist info, I am using an old iPad running MS RDP and connecting via remote session direct to the server. This tweak would be appreciated.

Only problem I have with the app is that you can’t change the output to your phone
Terrible
Keeps telling me connection unsuccessful. Haven’t even been able to use my paid subscription. Need to figure out how to cancel. Was looking forward to hearing Flac files on my phone but this ain’t it.

Hello, this is a remote control, not a player. You cannot listen anything on your phone with this app. Please read description for full list of features.
Good but greedy
The app works good overall but doesn't follow in the spirit of free or affordable software that the actual MusicBee developer has maintained since the beginning. To me it seems greedy to charge so much off MusicBee success for an app this simple.
This app is limited in features, has annoying ads, and options for subscription payments - or a one time $35 fee to remove the ads and unlock viewing and editing metadata (obviously free in MusicBee itself).
What a joke with that pricing. A subscription for a simple remote app to play/pause and skip tracks, when the fully featured MusicBee software is completely free. Other apps that have way more features like play:Sub / Navidrome are free or have a small one time fee like $5.
Since this is the only iOS app of its kind I still use it with an ad blocker, and appreciate it being available. I would be fine with paying a $5 fee for lifetime usage of a simple app like this just to remove the ads, but that's it. I'm not trying to manage my entire music collection on mobile. Hoping someone makes a simple music control app like this but free, no need to overdo it.

Tolle App, aber Komponisten wäre noch schön
Musicbee ist hervorragend und eine echte Alternative zu iTunes! Die App vervollständigt das Angebot, allerdings ist es schade, dass man nicht nach Komponisten suchen kann. Es gibt leider nur die vorgefertigten Möglichkeiten. Vielleicht ist das ja noch möglich?

Please offer a paid version w/no ads
No ads, and a view that shows the entire recording/ disc playing, with complete track info (parenthetical, like source country or composer on a collection). Not just a choice between the present track and upcoming.
