great ad-free music flashcard app
The only thing missing is the ability to use a foot pedal to go between cards. I like to use this app to practice going to the note on my cello, so being able to scroll between cards hands-free would be pretty cool. Other than that, I like the clean and simple design.
Absolutely first class
Have just found this app and it’s fab. Will be a great help as I learn notes and symbols and I’m sure my harp teacher will be equally delighted. I love that I can choose between notes and symbols, can hear the note as many times as I like and can test myself as often as I like. Love it, love, it love it.

Sfx
The sound effects almost ruin this product. There is no way to turn off the loud and unpleasant sound of the cards being shuffled.

As a total beginner with playing the piano I was told by my teacher to make Flashcards , this would help me to grasp the theory behind music reading. I have made Flashcards up with drawings on my notebook cut them out etc (took me ages to do and that was just the table clef side of the theory)
I Googled relevant apps and came across lots (either very fiddly or not what I needed etc) this does the job fantastically you can change the language to British or USA which is really helpful. The biggest benefit of this app is you can just go on it whenever suits even on your lunch break/waiting on the bus and quickly practice on a few Flashcards and put it back in your pocket no paper no hassle.

I’m in my late fifties and am learning a musical instrument for the first time (tenor sax!). I need to learn my sheet music skills from scratch and this is just what I need. Anytime I’ve a couple of free moments I just pull out my phone and polish my recognition speed. Only criticism is that I wish there was a mute sound effects button. The card riffle noise is especially irritating!

Good, needs an update.
Good for what it is, but the interface is not responding to taps well. Without an update in three years, it might be a bit long in the tooth for iOS compatibility.

I'm a piano teacher and I use this app all the time for my students. It is super easy to use. All my students that are using it are improving the reading super fast. It is always nice to have flash cards on the go.
Although is not for the use of young beginners but for adults and kids that understand and read notes on staff already is perfect.

Almost fired
I almost got fired at my job cause I kept trying to find good learning piano apps on my phone. Went through hundreds and I can say this is in the top 3.
Needs flexibility
Love the easy interface but there's no way to select ranges of notes to work on so makes it useless for me as a teacher. It's all or nothing. I can't limit the decks to suit the learner: e.g., five notes only for new beginner; line notes only, no leger lines, etc. Fix this and I'm in.
Helpful, but needs some tweaks
App is helpful in memorizing notes on staves; however, biggest complaint is the inability to silence sound effects. Should automatically disable sounds when vibrate switch is enabled. Also unable to listen to music while using app, as each time a sound effect is triggered (which is with each card turn), music stops playing.

Not bad but how about adding alto and tenor clef notes for viola, cello and bass.

This is called flash cards but they are not. Just cards and answers but no test mode. Not fun.

This app is great for testing or quizzing students who have a basic knowledge if music theory. I find that the wording in the explanation has to sometimes be re-explained, but I think it helps understanding when you have to work through. I love that there is an option to change the way notation is named (ei. Crotchet - quarter note)

Exactly what I was looking for 🎶
Having recently started using Notion for iPad, I found this app to provide a useful explanation of the various notation entries. The pronunciation feature was helpful and the flash card-style interface is great for memorization. Highly recommended for newcomers to music notation. Thanks for the update!
