Great App

Exactly what I was looking for to help me learn music notes. The only suggestion would be to allow longer sessions, up to five minutes or maybe even unlimited. Very easy to use app!

Love it

I love the simplicity of it, it is exactly what it says it is and dispite being so simple it have everything you need to learn to read music. 1000% recommend

Best note reader I’ve tried!

This app helped me learn my notes in a game setting. It works great with an actual piano! I just put in on top of my piano and play the notes, which also teaches me how to transition my site reading to a physical instrument! This also works for singing notes as well, to improve my site to vocal skills. Great for any student of the piano or new singers! Give it a try.

Solid for Beginners, Could be Better

I tried a lot of free apps for site reading and so far I like this one the best because it recognizes sounds played on a real piano. That really helps me connect notes on the staff to playing actual notes on the instrument. There are a couple simple things that would greatly improve this app:

#1: I second the need to be able to set your own length of time to practice. It’s annoying having to restart practice a bunch of times when I want to work on site reading for 10+ minutes.

#2: There is no explanation of what features are unlocked when paying to upgrade the app. I’d be willing to pay but I have no idea what I’d be paying for. A description of what the other “modes” offer would be appreciated.

#3: Would be great to be able to practice a wider range of notes (extending the bottom and top ranges in base and treble clef).

Thanks for designing this app, I appreciate your work!

Great

This app is amazing for people struggling to learn music notation. It both tests you to read music notes and teaches you how to memorize note sounds.
The key mode teaches you how to read notes and is great!
The mic mode is good too, however sometimes the sound doesn't go through when i try to hum the note and I get a bad score because of the timer. I have to play my piano for the song to go through which in my opinion, makes it slower to learn. Sometimes, I play a note in the wrong octave and when I try to make it sound right, the sound doesnt go through because the time is almost up. ALMOST. Its not up yet, just give me a chance last second. It would be better if sound got through easier/If the microphone was more sensitive.
Overall, great app.
