Useless

Worst app I’ve ever used honestly. Paid for premium for over a year and still didn’t get more than a couple matches. Their advertised 10x more likely with a gold note is a scam, don’t think I got any matches from those. Reached out two different times to see if my account was not working or something and couldn’t even get a response. Would not recommend at all.

Dating app for people with real values

I was a member of the church for a long time, I got less active and had a child so I thought that was it for church dating as I thought my past would be unbearable, my brother even though he’s autistic recommend the app as he found his wife through the app, not only have I found someone who understands my past, and is super hot but now I will be getting married in the temple all because I used mutual

😒

Most features are behind the paywall.

For an “LDS dating app” this app is so incredibly predatory.

Despite me having about 73 “people who like you” for a few months now, I sure am not matching with anyone more than maybe once a week. Though I suppose my sample size is pretty small given that there’s a swipe limit. Almost like it’s meant to dangle hope in front of desperate souls to get them to spend money on a subscription just to see who’s interested in them.

First Dating app I’ve ever used!

I was able to find someone in here a few years ago but it long since has been over, great way to meet people with the same values and beliefs

it really happened!

I in fact met the love of my life through this app, and the spirit ofc

Ranjbar

This is a great dating app. It is easy to use, and I like the way it helps people meet and connect. I highly recommend it.

Honest experience with Mutual

I’ve used Mutual on and off for years…and for the last 3 or so years I have had 0 matches. The year before that all my matches were guys looking for one night stands.

I am tired of all my likes being from foreign countries or from guys who have no standards.

I joined mutual in 2019. I have spent hundreds of dollars on premium throughout the years and in return have had a grand total of 4 guys I actually went on dates with that I matched with. I don’t think I matched with more than 10-20 guys, of which 75% or so either never messaged or responded.

Notes and gold notes are a joke, since all of the ones I got were either “hi” or a really nice message from a guy in Nigeria, Brazil, or elsewhere that realistically would never work out. All the ones I sent I never heard back from…so my best guess is they were not interested? But there is no way to know since the people you send notes to do not disappear from your like history if they swipe down.

Maybe my standards are “too high” wanting a guy who wants to get married in the temple for himself, has some form of form of education outside of just high school, and actually lives somewhere we could realistically go out and make something happen.

Now, mutual has made a lot of good, and even great improvements. Seeing who you liked, blind speed dating which I admit I unfortunately never got to do (Sunday evenings I get caught up with family and forget), and seeing one person a day who liked you for free members are great. It’s just once again 98% of my likes…are from foreign countries, or guys with no standards.

With that said, I’m done with the app. If Mutual ever decides to implement being able to block people from seeing my profile outside of state/country/distance something, I would be happy to check it out again because that is my #1 biggest frustration with it. I’m tired of wasting my time and money on swiping down on foreign likes.

Pictures

I like to see what people look like, not there pets or vacation locations, real pictures of them self.

Met my wife

I met my eternal wife through mutual. 100% recommend, I love her so much and I was usually against dating apps but after meeting her I am grateful to have this as a catalyst for our relationship.

Horrible for older singles!!

Horrible ! Everyone I like doesn’t like me and everyone I don’t like likes me! Plus you can barely write any profile ! It’s probably great for you her single adults but it’s not for older ones!

Not a fan

The app doesn’t seem to work all that well. The filters I set are within my country for the most part and it only shows people from Ghana and Mexico. When I filter for only within 100 miles, I get nothing. When I use the “anywhere in the world” filter I find people within 30 miles from me. Make it make sense

Terrible

Make it like hinge where you can see who likes you, if you actually care about couples meeting each other

Might be worth it

Lowkey took a bit but I found my wife on here…

Must show political views

It’s very frustrating they force half of us to show our political views on our profile. While then other half who didn’t update the app get to continue to keep it off their profile. I want to date someone with similar political views yes. But in today’s polorizing political climate people assume so many things based off of the label conservative or liberal and I don’t want that judgment right away.
I’m conservative but I’m not some crazy MAGA guy which a lot of people will assume.

Why can we hide every other aspect on our profile but not that?

Also the political slide bars was one of the few things that mutual did better than every other dating app. Sad it’s gone.
I was fine having that show on my profile, instead of being placed in the conservative box.

Success

Met someone in person, but didn’t know they were interested until I swiped and encountered them on the app. Will be getting married to them soon and am super grateful I found out about our mutual interest through the app.

Terrible

App is just full of single mothers who still think they are the prize and mudsharks

Love it!!

Does exactly what it says!!
