Best offline music player on iOS
I tested no fewer than 50 offline music player apps on iOS, and most of them felt half-baked in one way or another. Muziqi is the first one that really clicked.
If your files are properly tagged, the library experience is excellent. Smooth scrolling, clean presentation, full artwork, and album details that actually make browsing enjoyable rather than frustrating. Playback has been flawless for me so far.
I use Blip to transfer my FLAC files into the iOS Files app, and then Muziqi reads them directly from there. The workflow is smooth and reliable. Muziqi also supports other import options, but this Files-based setup has been the most convenient for me so far, especially if you’re managing a rotating offline library.
The developer is also unusually responsive. There are still a few issues I’ve run into, but the dev has acknowledged them and promised fixes in upcoming updates, which goes a long way.
Add an Apple USB-C dongle (or something like the FiiO KA11) to your iPhone, pair it with whatever IEMs or headphones you like, and you’ve got a genuinely excellent, no-nonsense budget audiophile setup.
Easy 5 stars.

Great app even without the pro subscription
I hate when apps make 90% of the functions behind a paywall. This app is the perfect middle ground and makes me want to give my money more. As far as the actual app goes it’s a great player with a little bit of an unintuitive ui, specially compared to Apple Music but it gets the job done. Would love more customization like in power amp on android.

Best iOS Music Player Around
After deciding I was done with DSPs, I was surprised to find that there were very few good mp3 players on the App Store. This is the best one, bar none. The lifetime subscription is a one time purchase and is worth the money. Specifically, the importing via server function is incredible and I use it all the time. Great product, please support the dev.

Just what I was looking for!
I’ve been using Muziqi for about 2 months now and I love it to bits. I was looking to ditch streaming platforms and I find the native Music app on iOS to be buggy (it kept duplicating my music and assigning cover art to the wrong albums). Muziqi has no such issues. I import through the Files app, which I had never used before. It was easy to learn how and I really enjoy the process of importing this way. It’s fun! Sometimes Files doesn’t capture album artwork, but I can add it back in through Muziqi’s search feature or by adding from my photo library for the more obscure albums it can’t find. I am obsessed with this level of customization. You can edit anything about a song or album’s metadata if you want, and you can change the app’s colour scheme and icon. If you like to be in control of your music library and enjoy the friction of finding and acquiring new music without an algorithm, this is the app for you!

For People With Legacy MP3 Library
I have MP3’s going back years. Plus I record my own music so services weren’t the answer for me. This is the player I needed. Importing from iCloud or Files works great.
The developer is very responsive too. I had some titles coming through as numbers and it turned out my tags were corrupted on my MP3’s. Can’t praise his professionalism enough. Thank you. And thanks for a great app.

Best Music Player out there!
I love this app so much. + it has a lifetime purchase option which is very appreciated!
The dev is also very active and listens to the user base (check out the sub-reddit)

this app is the beast on the ipad
For People With Legacy MP3 Library
I have MP3’s going back years. This is the player I needed. Importing from iCloud or Files works great. I’ve had a couple of things that I need help with. I don’t totally get the folders option and how to disconnect from them once you choose. Also, I get some songs coming in with generated numeric strings that look like unique hash ids for some reason. I check my mp3 and the title looks fine but they keep coming in has hash numbers? Odd? I loaded some files to start and deleted everything just to practice. Mostly it works at 95%. I’d love a direct line to the developer if possible. I’m a retired programmer and know how to document problems when I find them and not get in a panick over it. All in all, it’s the best player for my neeeds.

Great app for music
Super easy to have your music library on your phone.
It would be great to be able to manage playlists on computer, or to upload directly into a playlist.

Best app for local audio
I’ve tried lots of audio players on iOS over the past few weeks, and this one by far is the best I’ve tried. It allows linking folders to import songs and audiobooks without having to copy the to the app. The interface is intuitive. The developer is helpful and responded to a few issues I came across quickly. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to play their local files.

Great audio app
Muziqi does everything I need and is configurable without being overwhelming. I appreciate the last fm integration, visualizer, and looper.
Features missing
I purchased a lifetime license and the app does not have the eq function or the visualizer. I am running the app on an iPhone XR which I’m converting to a full time DAP on IOS 18.5. Please let me know what the issue is. Thanks
Response from developer
You should be able to reach the features in the main player. Please send a screenshot to sakunlabs@gmail.com so we can figure it out.
Love it
It’s way better than other audio player apps. I really like the built in equalizer and the awesome features for audiobooks like remembering my position and setting bookmarks.
Issue with app
The app is great don’t get me wrong, but very recently the app just won’t work. I open the app and it shows the Home Screen as usual but I can’t press anything or do anything in the app at all it’s just stuck there. No matter how much I reset it it just won’t work. It happens randomly and it’s super annoying.

Great audio player with room for improvement
Very nice audio player for those who still prefer to own their music. UI is very sleek and intuitive. I think some improvements could be made to a couple things, including the scroll bar and presentation of album artist info, but luckily, the owner of the app is very responsive to emails! Definitely competitive with other audio player apps like the stock music app and Doppler depending on what you prioritize.

Superb
Love the app, super useful… a DJ mixing feature would make this the ultimate music app (:
It’s… okay.
Couple UI issues/improvements could be made. Syncing songs/artists is a bit unintuitive and time consuming. I’m also having an issues being able to shuffle songs through the artist section. So if your mostly using it to shuffle ALL your downloaded music it works fine but on a per artist basis it’s clunky. 50 song limit also, I feel like that could be bumped up to 75 or 100 for a true demo. Overall 7/10.

Frustrating
It doubles, triples songs; you can’t select multiple artists to delete at once; freezes often etc.
I got it because it can scrobble last.fm which it does but is nowhere as great as Panoscrobbler for Android for example.
Just not a great experience
. Have gad to uninstall/reinstall so many tomes.

Limiting things like playlists behind a paywall? Nah
Not going to pay you a subscription fee for so basic a feature as having no limit on my playlists. I’d have paid for a good app, you don’t get to charge me forever for so basic a function.
BP Dubya
Well, yes, it stores and plays music files, but certainly not worth paying for the “pro”version. The EQ and visuals are crude - when they actually work - and the routine for adding music files to the app is long winded and clunky in the extreme.
Can’t recommend . There are much better options in the App Store with the glitches already ironed out.
