This App is not reliable at all. In this day in age, with the technological advances available there is no excuse not to have a more detailed and reliable way of controlling your alarm system from your IOS or Android device. This is why many people are choosing Simpli Safe and Ring Alarm systems over this antiquated and unreliable technology!!!

This App is a Crapshoot
Sometimes is works, sometimes it does not. It only does two things, arm or disarm my home security system. I can’t believe I paid for this as an upgrade. It is totally unreliable. I wish the developer would take these reviews to heart and fix this piece of crap.
Antiquated
I’ve used the Star Link app for several years now and at best it’s been unreliable and at worst dysfunctional. I’ve had an alarm tech out several times but nothing they do seems to stick. I’m about ready to throw the whole thing out and start fresh.
Doesn’t work (actually it does)
UPDATE: To get this to work I had to enter my account information, then deselect the account entry, press Home, and when it complained that I needed to select an account, select it again. Don’t ask me why, but that appears to have worked.
I have this application on my Android and it works absolutely fine, though my credentials were wiped out (apparently) with the last minor update. Does not work on this iPhone and I’m putting the credentials in off the original card given to me by our alarm company that I also used for my Android phone that does work. Thanks for the low quality job.

Lots of bugs that needs to be fixed could be a great app

This has been great until about 3 mo ago when it started acting up. Today it just bugged out altogether and won’t reload! Ugggg!

Awful, doesn’t work half the time. I can deal with the lack of being able to choose arming in stay or away modes, although that would be nice, but this app is not reliable, and in home/family security reliability is kind of important. The creator needs to delete this app or fix it.
Doesn’t work!
I’m currently trying to use it - my dog needs to be cared for - and I have no way to let someone in the house! It keeps saying try again later. I’ve been trying for 40 minutes, I updated the app and still nothing!! Fix it!!

Worst App ever
Updated my iPhone and app doesn’t work anymore only half of login info can be seen asked for help form my alarm company they say it the app itself and can’t get a response for help from Napco don’t waste your time
Needs Updating
Setup screen is only half visible. Would like notifications and possibly an option for “stay/away” modes. But at the very least plz update for smooth opn with all the new phone updates and upgrades since this app was last maintained. Not unhappy, just needs some polishing and/or some quality TLC after we’ve spent some heavy pocket change on your security systems.

Unable to connect to network all on different stores.

The app either can’t respond at this time or it says the alarm is off but it’s still activated. Works once in awhile. It can’t be trusted.
Not Reliable
This app could/should be so dependable, bu no, it is not and nobody seems to be able to do anything about it. When was the last time it was updated? Why does it not work a majority of the time? It’s supposed to be a safety feature but it does nothing for us but keep us on edge. Please, please, please fix it!

No consistency but when it does work the app never shows armed or disarmed
Horrible!
I only have this app because I need it for my alarm - obviously. Whenever I try to unset my alarm from my phone, i have to do it 5 or 6 times before it works. If it even works at all. It will only allow you to arm and disarm the alarm you cant bypass interior sensors or anything. Seriously need to upgrade this application.

A little unreliable
It’s only supposed to do one thing: arm/disarmed the alarm, and it does after a few tries. Two problems: 1) it should require the phone password or finger id to work; 2) it often doesn’t connect properly, requiring a retry, or worse reporting the wrong alarm status. Looks like a dynamic dns problem where it fails to get the right Ip for the alarm, but I’m just guessing.

I wish it would give the option to set it for either stay or away. Entering a password would be a great addition.
