The idea of being able to offer male dogs for breeding with other players for a fee is a really interesting suggestion, especially for expanding the genetics side of the game, and it’s something I’ll keep in mind as the game continues to develop. You should also be able to name your puppy, so if this isn’t working correctly for you, I’d really appreciate it if you could contact me using the App Support button on the My Kennel App Store page. That will allow me to get a little more information and investigate what is happening. Feedback, suggestions and bug reports are always very welcome and genuinely help me improve the game. I also have a bigger update currently in the final stages of testing, with more improvements and new content coming very soon. Has potential. I like it
I also think some type of player interaction like forums, threads, messaging, trading, etc. would make the game feel much more alive. Right now, it can get a little repetitive, but being able to communicate with other players, work on bloodlines together, breed with each other, and buy/sell puppies would give everyone so much more to do and explore.
A few smaller things I noticed.. Some kennel items, like the rug, only show as an icon rather than actually appearing as a rug in the kennel. The game freezes/glitches a little bit at times. I’ve made a couple of purchases (gems and a dog) and haven’t had any issues with those so far. Overall, I’m really enjoying it and I know the game will continue getting better as it grows and new features are added. These are just some things I’d personally love to see in the future!

I’m really pleased you’re enjoying My Kennel, and hearing that it brings back memories of a game you enjoyed when you were younger is lovely to hear! 🐾 You’ve actually mentioned several things that I’ve been working very hard on behind the scenes. A major update is currently in the final stages of testing, and bringing players together and adding much more depth to the breeding side of My Kennel is a big part of where the game is heading. I don’t want to give everything away just yet, but I think you’ll be very interested in what’s coming! 👀🐶 I completely agree about bloodlines, genetics and giving players more reasons to work with other kennels. My aim is for breeding to become much more than simply choosing two dogs, and player interaction is an important part of the future of My Kennel. Thank you as well for letting me know about the smaller issues you’ve noticed. The kennel item displaying as an icon rather than appearing correctly, along with the occasional freezing or glitching, is really useful feedback. Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review! 🐾 I’m really pleased you’re enjoying the breeding system, particularly that you feel the rarer dogs are still achievable without having to spend real money. That balance is very important to me. I’m sorry about the issue you’ve experienced with rewards showing Gems but your Gem balance not increasing. That’s definitely something I’d like to investigate. If you’re able to, please contact me using the App Support button on the My Kennel App Store page and let me know which tasks/rewards are showing Gems without adding them to your balance. Screenshots are especially helpful if you have them. You also make a very good point about unusual mixed breeds defaulting to a Labrador. The crossbreeding system is an area I’m actively working on, including giving crossbreeds a much better identity rather than simply falling back to one standard dog appearance. There’s a major My Kennel update currently in the final stages of testing, with lots of improvements and new features on the way, and development certainly isn’t stopping there. I’d love to be able to share some of the problems that I’ve been facing in the hopes of improving the game, so let me know if that would be appreciated, developer! By the way, the last update did significantly improve my game, and this is great for a first app. I know that I could not do any of this.
All in all, while it has sometimes been frustrating when things don’t work quite right, I’ve found myself checking in everyday and genuinely enjoying the game. I’m excited to watch it grow and improve!
