It is very helpful in locating the proximity of lightning strikes to decide when to find shelter.
Works Very Well
I’ve had this app installed and updated when updates come in for about 4 years now. Maybe longer. It always works just fine as long as you have a data plan on your phone. If you don’t have a data plan it works just fine on wifi data at home. It is a reliable app and it runs constantly on my phone and my iPad. Don’t forget to set your notification range to where you want to to start alarming you of approaching lightning. Like I said: this app works.

Red, Yellow?
Thanks for making this App available, but what does the Red dot indicate compared to the Yellow? A Key would be nice.
This App Is Awesome!
I have absolutely nothing negative to say about it. I love that the notifications comes with a pre-installed sound of “thunder” that you can set for your notifications action sound.
Didn’t like it.
I need to know how far lightning is from me. I found it was hard to tell this on this app. When I clicked on the yellow dot around the lighting area a link came up trying to sell me yellow massage balls. Deleted this app immediately
Ads are impeding hazardous conditions information
Terrible being forced to watch an ad wondering if you’re about to be struck by lightning

As a liveaboard sailor, the weather is critical to the safety of my family and my boat.
Taking last night as an example, none of my other data sources (including Predict Wind Pro), gave any warning of the storm which caused carnage in our Croatian anchorage. Lightening Tracker was accurate to within 10 minutes.
I alerted our neighbours in advance - those who believed me prepared and were fine, others not so much….

Very accurate
I watch local weather news which is not very detailed, this app shows the rain and the direction of travel giving enough time to get the washing of the line and bring it in !

Minty app. It’s what ya want really. I’m not going to mention any company names, but there are some big reputable companies that have very extensive lightning detecting capabilities and this matches everything I’ve seen in the field pound for pound.
Great but needs yellow and red alerts
Its a great App but it really needs dual distance zone alerts, I.E.: As in most places such as construction, oil fields/refineries, etc…, there are always two limits, one on a proximity alert (yellow) in a 20-30km radius which means no work at heights, and a shelter alert (red) in a 7-15km radius. Other than that, its perfect, 4.5⭐️

This app has become useless. The map won't load so there's no way of telling how close the lightning is to your location. After multiple updates, they still can't get it right. Time to free up some space on my phone!
