Very accurate ~ potentially life saving
We live off grid in Catalonia in the Pyrenees we use this all year round to watch storms approach and gauge severity, risk and when to turn off our electrical systems%. Have relied on this for years now. Fantastic app. Pay for the upgrade.

Neither accurate, timely, or dependable
In the past year, we’ve had numerous times when we were warned about thunderstorms and lightning, and there were even clouds within 30 miles of our house.
There have been even more times when no radar echos are displayed and thunderstorms are dumping hail, and rain on us, cloud-to-ground lightning with8n a few hundred yards.
Just getting the app to work at all is par for the course.

Swim instructors best tool
I’m a swim instructor in Florida. Can’t stress enough how crucial reliable data is. I love this app.
Question
What lightning detection network or data provider supplies the lightning-strike data displayed in My Lightning Tracker Pro in the United States? Specifically, does the app use NLDN/Vaisala, Earth Networks, Blitzortung, another detection network, or a proprietary/aggregated source? We are evaluating the app for organizational occupational-safety use and need to understand the data source, typical latency, detection type, and location accuracy.

Hands down most accurate weather app
I work outside banquets frequently and this is app is a lifesaver. Out of the 5 weather apps I use I only trust this one, the best $6 I’ve ever spent. So many settings you can customize for notifications. The only downside is it does use quite a bit of phone battery life if you allow the app to always use your location, which makes complete sense. But again, you can easily change that. I love how fast the lightning strikes are updated (within seconds of happening), and the strike distances are extremely accurate from your location. Love that you are notified by choosing a radius of strike distances from you.

This is the one to have and keep. I signed up for the “full time” membership and should have a lot earlier. The accuracy , timing and notifications are beyond anything I’ve ever used. Simple operation , always accurate with exceptionally good results. Don’t leave home without it! And I could mail a cup of coffee, but would be concerned with delivery. Perhaps a wet box?

This app is awesome , simple to use , radar clarity is the best there is . Don’t mess with the app the way other radar based weather apps have gone . Do not try and re-invent this people love it . I think my point is clear.

I find this app is very accurate and reliable. I consider it a must have to live safely here in Florida, which I consider to be the lightning capital of the US! I highly recommend the pro version.

The radar is iffy and I swear it use to be several hundred urs worth. I pay for the app and I dont think ill do it again. I did twice.
