Wanted it to work but none of the pictures load just blue boxes with a question mark in such a shame
The photos don’t load?
I REALLY want to love this app, but unfortunately all the images do not load, there is only a little blue square with a question mark in it where the photos should be? Am I doing something wrong or is this just a bug/glitch? :(
Best app ever
Let’s go on a plastic diet because our planet deserves better.
Lacking on a few food recs
For the most part this is an amazing app to help someone start their sustainability journey without it being to overwhelming. However some things could be improved on slightly if possible. As this app operates mainly as a beginner friendly guide, it would be good to have more than one plastic free option. For example, I have celiac, meaning I can’t have gluten. The ice cream cup goal just informed me that the cups have bad chemicals, the solution? Order my allergy food (ice cream cone). Luckily I don’t go to ice cream shops often due to my celiac and instead buy GF ones at the supermarket but I still have no clue what another option would be that is plastic free. If anything you could even just add that as another option, buy ice cream at the supermarket. It would just be nice to even have the possibility to do that goal. Also just an FYI some goals are still in the developers native language for the English choice. Like the cutting board one, the plastic free recommendation isn’t in English. Other than that love the app! :)

Exciting idea, but needs a lot of work
I found this app from the Beat the Microbead app and was excited by the concept. However the app is difficult to use, and not very helpful. When I made my profile, it never allowed me to select anything to calculate my pmi. It automatically assigned me 100. It seems like there is no way to recalculate, so I would have to manually ‘complete’ the tasks for everything I had already done. I decided to do that. While I was doing that, I noticed that every item I selected didn’t offer much advice or alternate products; just links to lists on external websites. It would be very cool if the app had some way to narrow down these big lists and informational websites to the specific kind of product you were looking to replace. (For example, if I used dandruff shampoo, I’d want to replace it with dandruff shampoo. Not just any other shampoo.) While the lists of items in different areas of the home to replace is handy as a checklist, any practical information to help you replace them is harder to parse. I honestly think it is less frustrating and time consuming for me to just to use google. If the app is improved in its user friendliness, technical issues, and becomes able to actually make it easier to replace disposable plastic items, I would be thrilled. Until then, I’m sticking to a search engine. Rating 2 stars instead of 1 so my review has a smaller impact on the rating. I wish the developers the best of luck with the app, and I hope they can make this something great.
