Poor (unusable) UI; confusing
It’s got the account functionality in the app but then to actually buy anything it just creates a portal back to the website. The issue with this is that the “Shop local” banner that you can’t dismiss for some reason means you can’t access the criteria at the top of the filter list. So it’s impossible to select, for example, “white”, or “red”, which is pretty fundamentally useless for a wine purchasing app.
Additionally it can’t retrieve old order details through the portal - presumably an issue with the iOS version of the website because I couldn’t do it through Safari either. So I can see how much I’ve spent on wine but not find out which ones. Though if I duck out of the shopping bit and back to the app it’ll show me my order, and if I tap one of the wines it’ll put me back into the website portal. Very clunky. They need to invest in the infrastructure to just be able to purchase via the app.

Avoid - use the website
Majestic is the best wine shop in the UK, but unless they can invest heavily in this app, they’d be better off dropping it. It’s one of those “website in a skin” apps, but riddled with bugs. Just use the website.

Very poor app, zero support
Sign in works; add items to basket works; checkout then not only fails to retain your login details but also clears your basket - what is the point?

The lack of functionality is staggering. The search function doesn’t work well enough. I have deleted the app and reverted to the website.
Poor functionality, just a purchase app
The label and wine finder functionality doesn’t seem to find anything. It’s seems to be just an app to push generic purchases to you.
Why bother
Having to sign in every time and remember password is a pain, might as well just go on their website. App deleted.
I Like Majestic
Look, I like Majestic, but why download an app if you just use it to load a browser to buy any products. It makes its existence nearly pointless.

Wine lists
The App is very poor when wanting to find out what wine they have in any category. Type in South African Red Wine and you get some South African red and then in the same list you get Portuguese, Australian, White wines, and everything except what you are looking for. It’s better to just going to their website.

Doesn’t work
Good idea but frustrating that after choosing wines in this basic app, the payment crashed and my basket emptied . No advantage over the website.
Not really an app yet
This isn’t really an app yet. It is just a launcher for the mobile website if you need to order wine, which you can order exactly in the same way as if you had no app. So I am left wandering what exactly this is for.
