Very good app with a challenge
This has been a great app to use but a challenge when upgrading to new versions. Going from v3 to v4 was not possible at first because a Facebook account was originally used for the logon, and that no longer works (although it’s still presented in the app as an option). Going from v2 to v3 was also problematic due to a database issue that did not re-occur during this upgrade.
Support was able to move our database to a MyMovies account, so we have our inventory of movies in v4. Everything is good now, but if you’re new to MyMovies create an account with them and don’t use a third party logon.

Hi. If you are loosing data between versions, you are logging into a different user account than the one you used - your collection follows your user account. Our support responds within 24 hours on weekdays on all problems. Facebook logins are problematic as Facebook randomly blocks the access to the SDK when their reviewers cannot determine how to report. Our support can transfer your account to a username based account. Please contact us on support@mymovies.dk.
Great App
This is the best app I have had for storing and tracking all my movies and every upgrade has been fantastic. The times I have upgraded went smooth and love the updates. I only had to reach out 1 time over the years and I got a quick response and my issue was resolved in a timely manner. Keep the updates and improvements coming. I am already looking forward to the next update. Get this app if you need an awesome way to track and manage your movies.

A Money-saver!
Before I bought this app, I was always forgetting what movies I owned and often bought duplicates of ones I already had. This app saved me from that. Now if I’m not sure I just look at the app. Besides scanning discs in I can also enter movies I’ve purchased digitally. There are so many filtering functions that make it easy to look up my movies in different ways such as by year, actor, director, genre, and more. The app has a great many features that make it indispensable for movie lovers. It’s the best app I’ve ever purchased.

Movie collection app.
It’s by far my favorite of the available collection apps for films as it regards what one owns. My only complaint is the app got rid of 2 fun options, the first option was the bookshelf skin that made it appear as though your collection was displayed on a shelf. The Black background is great and the white background is the one they should have ditched, keeping the shelf instead. The second option that I miss the most was when you turned the phone sideways, it use to show the films in a scrollable format where the titles to the left and right were standing upright and turntable like pages… it’s what attracted me most about the app aside from its useful function…God, how I miss the Mymoviespro version 1 :)

Solid way to catalogue media collections!
I’ve used My Movies for over a decade and across multiple versions and devices. It always works, and the only gripe I’ve got is that syncs can take a LONG time and leaving the app for any reason means you’ve gotta start at square one again. Even if your screen auto locks, you’ve got to start over. Pretty frustrating. I just synced because I got a new phone and it was right around 20 minutes of sync and hoping nobody would call and that the screen would’t lock.
I’ve got 1,000 or so titles in the library, so that could be part of it, but a 64 gig iCloud restore is faster than syncing the database across devices. It’s a bummer, but it’s the only bummer. It doesn’t have to happen with every use, of course, and if that were resolved this would be a 5 star review.

Hi. The app only needs to re-sync your entire collection once, unless the internal data of the app is cleared, or you log out of the app. You can see titles loading still if there are update to profiles, but you can disable update profiles in settings of the app - please contact our support on support@mymovies.dk if this is not what you see.
Search Function Worse Than Previous Version
When using the search function, there is no way to fully submit the search. As you type in the search field the results populate on a drop down menu, however the app leaves the rest of the collection showing below the pop up making it confusing to see where the pop up ends and the collection begins. Needs an option to fully submit the search and have the screen only show the search results.

Customer Service is nonexistent
This is the second review I have written in hopes that it will actually be published and help others. I have had this app for some time and have paid for upgrades when available. I got a new phone and since then I cannot get it to work on my new phone. I have contacted customer service multiple times and my requests have largely went ignored. I have asked multiple times how to correct the problem so that I can access my collection with over 1000 titles. I did exactly what they told me to do and it still doesn’t work. I told them via email that it did not work and no one will contact me to correct the issue. It’s very disheartening that you do not stand behind your product.

Very organized
I have had this app through every update. I gave it only four stars I hate the fact that I have to purchase it again in order to continue to use the app. I do love how organized it keeps all of my movies and if I am out at a store and see a movie on sale, I can very easily look and see if I already own it or not. I have over 2000 movies so it’s hard to track sometimes. If you want an app that is keep you super organized and gives you a lot of information about each movie

Upgrading💰 a small price to pay
I don’t collect many things, I’m not an obsessive, but I find that this app is a godsend for my disc collection and pays for itself in time saved and in repeat purchases averted. I love this software because it is a model of flexibility and usability, and it saves me time. Well done, devs 👏

Exactly what I wanted in a movie collection app with one caveat. Great organization, easy to use ui, clear instructions of use and really easy to follow directions for logging your movies not already in the system.
My one complaint is how the collection looks as a whole. Would love more customization features. Even just a selection of a solid color for my background. Maybe like a fake wood finish to make it nicer to look through? And if these things are available I completely resend my complaints and would love to know how to customize.
Other than that however I have no complaints. I would add however if you are planning to add any information whatsoever I would suggest to throughly read their guide lines! Really helps out.

Love it
Simple thorough and convenient. I love that I don’t have to enter any movie information except under the rare circumstances of a movie not in the database. It so nice to be able to locate a specific movie to look up information about it, or to see if I actually have it in my inventory. Really wish I had this app years ago, then I most likely would not have purchased duplicate movies. I have such a large library of movies it’s easy to forget if I’ve already purchased a movie. At first I was leary because of the cost but considering the necessity for updating information regarding endless numbers of movies it makes sense. If you’re like me and need help organizing things but very procrastinating then this app will help. It’s beyond simple to use. I would seriously recommend this app.

Well Worth The Money
This was the most expensive app I have ever purchased because I got the pro version, but I have NEVER been more pleased and impressed with an app! This was well worth the money and picking the Pro version. If you are on the fence about it, go ahead and download it because it is well worth every penny! The customer service is fast and the amount of information and effort put into this app is incredible. You will not be disappointed!

Great app until you update or replace device
This app is great, I’ve used it for years.
That being said, it’s now a nightmare. I have over 1500 movies in my collection and when I get a new device, have a major OS update or something like that I have to download my collection again.
Downloading your collection means keeping the app open, tapping on the screen so it doesn’t lock (or the sync stops), and waiting for it to download everything. In my case that takes about an hour.
This one issue for a otherwise great app seems easy to fix if it just did a sync in the background, without having to open the app and babysit it. If it did that, it would be perfect.

Great for collectors
This application has paid for itself many times over! Just by saving me money from buying duplicates. I have over 1,000 movies and it’s hard to keep track of what I have and don’t have. When I’m out on the hunt and I don’t know for sure if I have a certain title I just open my Movie-Pro and then I know! Thank you

Best solution for me
I really like this app. It has a pretty comprehensive database of movies and you can always manually add what it doesn’t find. Then you can upload this data & make it available to the community. I only wish they would update the desktop version - it’s at version 2, though it all still syncs seamlessly. Great program!

I’ve used this application for many years now and I highly recommend it to everyone! I always purchase the new version because I know it is a great value.
Anytime I’m out looking for movies and the opportunity presents itself to talk about this app I do so in a positive fashion. It has all the information you need to know about practically every movie out there.
I have multiple tv series shows and it knows all about those as well. It has saved me money because I no longer have to rely on my memory to know if I have a certain movie. So no duplicate purchases!

My Movies makes managing a movie library easy!
I’ve been using My Movies since they started and they keep getting better and better. When you own over 400 movies, there’s no easier way to keep track of them. And when you discover that something needs to be corrected (not often), their reporting process is easy and they respond quickly - within minutes, not hours, and by a real person. My Movies may be the most useful app on my phone!

Great App for Years
I’ve had various versions of this app for years, and it’s been a great way to keep track of my collection of movies and TV shows. It’s very stable and easy to use. And when I find missing or incorrect information, support has been absolutely fabulous about adding or fixing things.
Amazing App
I am not one to write reviews but for this app I am making an exception. I have a collection of over 1300 DVDs and Blu-rays just because I like to have the movies and TV shows I like to watch at the palm of my hands, and not deal with the disappointment of having to pay a monthly fee or not finding it. As I was building my collection, I started looking for an app that would allow me to save and the customize my searches my way. I tried several and this one was the best one even though the search over 5 years ago. Since then, I have been a devoted user of this app, updating and taking advantage of all the new functionality they provide with each update. It is easy to use, and once you have your collection in, you will not look for another. Highly recommend !!!!

Love this app
As our movie collection has grown both in physical and digital realms this app helps us keep it straight - would love to new banners over movies to show what digital platform they are on if digital only or at least a digital banner. Will continue to use as long as it stays this great.
