You can only use the app if you are ordering to a designated table number - the other day I sent through a drink to a friend who I knew was at the bar - I used a table number, ordered and paid for a drink but had to call him to ensure he told the staff it was for him - why can’t a ‘bar’ option be added with a name option? Example ‘lounge bar - for Gary’

Minutes to go through the process to order food and drink, downloading app, providing all personal information including date of birth, gender etc. Totally ridiculous and not competitive with other venues where you can tap qr code and order instantly.

Could not be simpler
Wandered around Ipswich and popped into The Plough for a 'something to eat'. Scanned the barcode using my camera, tapped the link, downloaded the app, ordered and paid from my table - simple as that.
Needs work
The buttons aren’t buttons… they need to look like buttons. Very involved to just place an order

First time order took a bit of time
Lots of questions, difficult to sort out what is required versus optional. Menu selecting was nice, however, no way to ask for something like a glass of water.

It's hard to use. It's not very self explanatory and the instructions are unclear.
The app wasn't working and the search engine was not working either. It took me 5 minutes to download the app and another 15 min. to sign into just to pay

Privacy Policy Email Spam
I downloaded this app to be able place orders at my local pub. It proved to be not very usable and I ended up going to the bar to order instead. I then forgot about it. However, over the past several days I’ve received numerous “privacy policy” update emails from what appears to be every brand associated with this app (although not from pub I registered for). This spam is is ridiculous and kind of ironic. I’m not sure I consented to receive emails from every man and his dog! It certainly doesn’t instil any confidence that my privacy is being respected.

Very convenient!
The user interface is top notch and it was easy to download and use while visiting a new London restaurant on vacation with my parents.

Don’t rely on your booking.
As with all sports bars they are busy when the big games are on. In anticipation of that we booked a table for two. On arrival we were shown to our table, where the member of staff found someone already sitting.
We were told to wait whilst the finished eating but whilst waiting we were told there’s another table. It was so tight between the seats we couldn’t sit down so we asked for another table. Eventually we were sat at a large table in the main area with a large group who was watching a totally different game to the one we came to watch, and could have watch on the TV right in front of the table we were meant to sit at.
The moral of the story is, sit where you like because apparently, they’d rather mess you around when you’ve booked, than move someone who hasn’t.

Finding my pub took forever
The app goes through a list of every pub on the app via a scroll wheel.
It’s not possible to use a keyboard to search and filter.

Hi Jimbo, yes the app has a search function so you can type and filter on the pub you’re looking for. As well as location based search and map view function. Thanks.
No guest option
Don’t make me share my email address to order a burger. Finding my favorite pub in the list of 500 pubs with no search is a disaster.
After you finally order, the bar tender has to walk over and ask questions about everything you ordered. The app is a joke. I’ll order at the bar.

Hi Go cardinals2011 - sorry you’ve had a bad experience, we do have a guest checkout option but we still legally need to ask for your email address so we can send a receipt somewhere. The pubs list does have search, map and optional location based pub finding in case that helps in the future? I’m not sure why the staff had to come over but if you wanted to reach out to appsupport@stonegategroup.co.uk with more detail we’d love to look into it?

Hiya.. I would like to say Yates in Printwork is a really nice pub to go in to and have abit of quiet time. The night life in here on a Friday and Saturday is really good but sometimes need to put the heating on abit and not the fans. But over all my feedback is am really happy with the service and customer service I get from all staff…. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Just doesn’t work
The app forces you to pick a table number, yet neither it nor the restaurant itself seems to have any way to figure out which table is which. On top of that, the credit card scanning feature doesn’t even work no matter how clearly you display your card. So, you end up having to order the *gasp* normal way, through waiters. Imagine that. Yet another example of trying to use an app to “solve” a problem that doesn’t exist.

I found this pub to be absolutely quintessential to my day, I have a shot every morning just to start the day, their food is spectacular and the service is always with a smile, highly recommend to anyone in need of a loyal, friendly local pub.

My wife ordered the Fish Pie - it was absolutely inedible. When the Mgr came round and asked us how are meals were my wife said him she was really disappointed. We added we were not expecting fine dining but for £12 we did expect better than this though - he told us it was pre packed “all we do is put the lid on it”. Potatoes were microwaved within a inch of their life. Absolute crap - no offer of a reduction, my wife only ate a few mouthfuls of it.
Now off to find something for her to eat!!!!

Easy to use but a few tweaks needed to improve the user experience
Scroll bar for the location selection contains too many entries. The dev’s should consider allowing users to type their location or scrolling.
Not all offers from the menu in the pub where reflected on the app. There was no Daily Deals section.
I would also recommend allowing users to search for drinks without having to come out of the Food menu (similar to how the Wetherspoon app works ;) ).
Food & drink selection was easy to use & customise.
Registration and Payments process where also both simple and easy to use.
