Wow, the instant I signed up for Tello I was flooded with Spam calls and texts! Non stop! It’s a good price but not worth being inundated with Spam and Scams.
Nothing but issues
Didn’t port number lost that and every time it renews subscription it takes them a week to figure out what went wrong. And get my phone working right good luck if you try them
Affordable and basic
First, I’d like to talk about the app. It could definitely benefit from defaulting to the dashboard right away, so I could see the renewal date and usage better than on the first screen. Then on the website I can see and manage all the numbers for my family, but on the app, I can only see mine. Lastly, it would really be nice to be able to see a usage over time chart both in the app and on the website.
For the phone service, it continues to be affordable, though they recently they removed several useful usage, tiers that had made it much more flexible and worth the money every month. If they end up narrowing the choices even more then there won’t really be an advantage to Tello over another service like Mint.

Great App + Service
The plan is perfect, the simplicity of the app is (almost) perfect it just needs dark mode.
Genuinely terrible
I canceled my plan immediately after I made the purchase and they still charged my card although that is kinda my fault I should have done more research if you are looking for a REAL phone number and not a secondary app like text now that is compatible with your phone this is a complete waste and you can’t even use it to get service on your actual phone it only works on the app NEVER use this app unless your dumb

iOS App Performance Issues and Request for Simultaneous Calling/SMS Support

I am a Tello customer using the iOS application with a Tello eSIM and U.S. phone number.
I would like to report two concerns and request feature improvements:
1. iOS App Performance
The Tello iOS application occasionally becomes slow, laggy, or unresponsive during use. In some situations, the app appears to hang when managing account features or accessing calling functions.
Please investigate and optimize the application for newer iOS versions and recent iPhone models.
2. Simultaneous Calling and SMS Across Network and App
I would like Tello to consider supporting simultaneous communication through both:
* Native mobile network (VoLTE / Cellular)
* Wi-Fi Calling
* Tello App (VoIP)
Ideally, users should be able to:
* Receive incoming calls through either the cellular network or the Tello app at the same time.
* Receive SMS messages regardless of whether they are connected via cellular service or the Tello app.
* Continue receiving calls through the Tello app while abroad when cellular roaming is unavailable.
* Seamlessly switch between Wi-Fi Calling and app-based calling without missing calls.
This functionality would be especially useful for international travelers and users relying on Wi-Fi Calling outside the United States.

However, I would like to request better compatibility and optimization for Bangladesh mobile networks, especially with Grameenphone and Banglalink.
Current issues:
• Grameenphone often does not provide proper 5G and VoLTE access for roaming eSIM users.
• Sometimes only Banglalink CS fallback works for voice calls.
• VoLTE registration and IMS connectivity should be improved for international eSIM roaming users.
• Please ensure stable inbound/outbound SMS delivery and voice calling while roaming in Bangladesh.
Requested improvements:
• Full 5G support on Bangladeshi carriers
• Stable VoLTE and IMS registration
• Better roaming agreements with Grameenphone, Banglalink, Robi, and Teletalk
• Cheaper roaming data packages for South Asia and Bangladesh
• Lower monthly package pricing for long-term users
• More affordable international data add-ons
Overall, Tello is a very useful eSIM provider for travelers and international users. If 5G + VoLTE roaming support in Bangladesh improves, the experience would become excellent.

No matter what I do the app shows my contacts being from all over the world! I have checked United States in settings, which should put a +1 in front of all my contacts. Useless!

Just very affordable and easy to use. No tricks. Seems like an honest company and there aren’t many around these days.
Just doesn’t work
Installed this service in December 2025 and now April 2026 still cannot access us calls and text with my ported number. Worked in the US but not in Portugal. Customer service try’s to help but ALL calls made through Tello are disconnected automatically with 15 mins so they never have time to correct problem. They send emails to try and continue the fix but the scenarios don’t match what I see and I can’t talk to anyone about that because we keep getting disconnected. It’s a loop in hell.

Connection cut
Connection was great, then all of a sudden I couldn’t hear and the call was still live. Never happened before, I’m just glad that I was pretty much done with the call which was with the bank.
