Selecting channel on Apple TV very hard

Channel selector only shows when doing a bottom to top swipe on the remote. Is there an easier way to change channel?

Doesn’t work

It does not allow me to login. In can login to the portal, but the app always gives an error of invalid credentials. Not surprised, given the poor standards though.
