Most of the time status of the car if displayed wrong, like car is actually at idle state and it shows that car is moving.
The trip data is not completely correct, it combines multiple trips in one single trip and user is not able to judge correctly the start and end points.

After buying Virtus GT with hard earned money, it feels being robbed when this app shows incorrect location of my car and sometimes other’s car location in my app. Being a technical lead with whole some experience in designing scalable software solutions and systems, I can fix this app and will not charge a single penny to Volkswagen out of my good heart.

Extremely buggy app
One of the worst apps ever seen from a car manufacturer who puts itself in premium category. Not even a single useful thing can be done with this app. And after the latest update, all last two years of drive data got deleted. Now only September 2025 onwards drive data available. Why all the previous data deleted?
Surprisingly, i have seen Tata provide a better app for their Nexon car. VW should remove itself from premium category.

Persistent Issues with Vehicle Tracking
I’ve been facing issues with the My Volkswagen app for the past 2-3 months. The app consistently shows the wrong location for my vehicle, and it does not track the start or end points for trips. I reported this problem to the local service center, and they claimed it was escalated, but nothing has changed.
It’s frustrating not being able to monitor my vehicle accurately, especially since accurate tracking and trip history were key reasons for using this app. I’ve attached screenshots showing:

• The difference between actual and shown locations
I hope the developers address these problems quickly, as the app has been unreliable for months now.

Unstable & very slow App with regular problems
The App needs major attention for upgrade to much smooth & premium experience as currently it hardly serves the purpose. It’s very unstable, slow & buggy and hardly provides information in real time.
Useless VW App - All Show, No Function
This VW app is nothing but a marketing gimmick packaged with the vehicle. It offers zero practical functionality for actual owners. Performance is terrible - constant lag and crashes force you to repeatedly uninstall and reinstall just to get basic access. Don't waste your storage space on this glorified advertisement that rarely works when you actually need it.
Volkswagen should focus on creating a reliable app that actually helps customers rather than just ticking a box for their digital presence.

Good to have if you’re a keen driver
It doesn’t deserve such low rating as it is 2.2 stars on Mar 2025. It has decent information about the driving data. I realize this data helps make me better at driving. I aim at putting efforts to score full 100 in driver score wherever I take my car out. Interface is a bit slower to load but that’s no big deal.

Need major updates
The app is very basic and unfortunately still very buggy. VW should invest in their app as it is part of customer experience. Problems:
1. Car notifications are buggy. Sometimes they just stop.
2. The map view starts displaying error message sometimes: SDK not supported. Then automatically it becomes ok.
3. Need more features: Remote car lock/unlock, start / stop, Engine diagnostics, Fuel logs etc. Indian car makers are very innovative in their car apps, VW should learn.

Good app- does the job well
I have been using this app for more than 1.5 years and the experience has been great. It helps with battery volt, fuel level, past journeys, driver score amongst other things . It does the job well
Lacks feature and limited to just gps tracking
App is not stable firstly with the reporting of gps data, also app lacks basic features like service schedule/history, even to track fuel logs the option is hidden somewhere inside.
Unnecessary options like book a test ride, book Volkswagen are on top which are not used on daily basis by existing customers.
Maruti Suzuki app is better than Volkswagen app.

This iteration of the VW app is annoyingly stupid for existing owners.
Instead of the app Home Screen opening to focus on features and functions related to the linked vehicle(s), it opens to a Home Screen to upsell the VW products.
Worse yet, some functions - like the fuel log - have been moved to obscure sub menus, and have even lost all data logged in the previous app.
If the target audience of this app is actually VW owners, then the interface needs some serious rethinking.

Really good feature
This app's ability to set up custom zones for my car's location is very useful for me. It gives me peace of mind knowing I'll receive instant alerts if my vehicle moves outside of designated areas. Truly a 5-star feature
Greatest application to Track VW car
Application has lot of features. Able to track the vehicle with live RPM its nice and attractive UI. Im getting notification when low fuel level is maintained.

Unfortunately, the Volkswagen Connect app falls short of expectations. Functionality issues persist, and I’ve encountered inaccuracies in owner information. It’s frustrating when an app designed to enhance the driving experience falls short. I hope the developers address these issues promptly to bring the app up to the standard we expect from Volkswagen.

Basic features missing
While the new app is a good effort, it hampers the experience with basic details missing eg it does not have owners manual despite the option being there, it could be a 4/5 star experience if they fix basic issues

Getting all the notifications regarding engine start / stop , sharp turn and other info..
For more info you need to open the app like map and other fuel and rpm related info so i think its good . Geo fence is also working fine.
Tracking is also working fine. Overall i am happy with the app, Till now didn't face any problems regarding notifications and other problem like engine start in the middle of the night .. (Will update review if there is some improvement regarding the app)

Pathetic app
Very poor service from VOLKSWAGEN NAGPUR ( VARDHAMAN AGENCY )
I have purchased VOLKSWAGEN VIRTUS TL MT on gudi padwa’23 and have been requesting them to update my details in connect app but despite of so many requests still they haven’t been able to satisfy it and daily some new excuses ( like the agent who sold you has left, manager is on leave, company is not replaying to the mails ) etc.
Highly poor customer service. Would never recommend WARDHAMAN AUTO DEALS , nagpur to buy VOLKSWAGEN.

App doesn’t works well and no notification
This is the most useless app amongst all the auto makers. Likes of Mahindra and Tata have far superior, user friendly and USEABLE app. This shows car has started in the middle of the night, in trip it shows the car is moving, though car is parked it shows idling. Earlier parked or moving status were correct but now it’s totally absurd. No trip details are updated correctly. You can use ‘walk to car’ feature as car is never in parked mode. Is it difficult to make a simple app which works??? Please rectify and resolve the issue. This is going on since last 3 months. Earlier it was not updating trip details, which happens now but it’s too slow. Stats doesn’t comes up for the trip. Please resolve or discontinue this ridiculous nonsense of an aap.
