Basically Basic
To say that this app is basic is an enormous understatement! In essence , it’s just a glorified stopwatch. Keeping straight track of your progress is easy enough to do, but there are some asinine limitations that have no good reason to exist.
For example, I was in a dead cellular dead zone the other day and the app refused to let me update my wearing status. I had to find service to tell it that I was putting my retainers back on. Why in the world does the app need network access to stop a freakin timer?!? Makes no sense!
And then there is no ability to change a log on the spot. You can go in the next day and change the total wearing duration but you can’t change individual time logs! So if I take my retainers off and forget to put them back on, I have to remember to go back the following day and do the math on how long my break was so I can accurately log the full day. Just ridiculous. It’s constantly complaining that I’m logged out and that my “credentials have expired.”
My wife had Invisalign and their app would let her log pictures so she could see her progress and compare it to what her teeth looked like months before. This app does nothing more than linear logs and doesn’t even do that well.
I gave it two stars because I can do the basic function of logging, but there is A LOT left to be desired. I paid a lot for these retainers. I would expect this company to make the experience of logging and tracking to be more than a simple afterthought.
