Very poor and lacks numerous key features

Very poor app with very difficult selection of funds, poor graphing, rubbish tech support. Simply the worst app of any of the 6-7 providers I’ve used.

App has become too complicated

Aviva should separate functionality in to simpler apps for specific categories (investments, insurance, travel etc). The UI is now completely unwieldy. I have no interest in anything other than investments.

App not working anymore

Since last update it says:- It doesn't look like you have a policy with us. You can check if that doesn't seem right. It then lists possible reasons none of which are valid. I have a pension and nothing from my end had changed. Was able to see pension before app update. Phone is fully up to date with latest iOS version.

Terrible Graphs

I really dislike the graph viewer for the workplace pension. No control or ability to view what you want. The only options are to view the last 3 months or the last year. What if I want to see the entire history? What if I want to see a select range? What if I only want to view both my contributions and the total value? You’re hiding data for no reason and it’s frustrating. I’ve resorted to manually recording the value of my pension each month so I can make my own graphs. I shouldn’t have to do this. Please look at something like Trading 212’s app.
Your desktop website is almost as bad as the app for this, too.

Two months, no resolution, manager threatened to end the call

My car was damaged on 5th March 2026 while in the care of a third-party transporter contracted by Aviva to move my vehicle for repair at Solus Park Royal. I reported the damage on 18th March through the Aviva app. It has now been OVER TWO MONTHS with no substantive resolution.
Throughout this period, Aviva has:
• Failed to respond to my email of 20 April 2026 (handler: Bayley).
• Deferred responsibility back to Solus and the third-party transporter — contractors AVIVA selected and instructed — rather than owning the claim.
• Done the bare minimum of “chasing” with no proactive updates and no accountability for the months passing.
• Offered me a “resolution” of claiming through my own insurance and risking my no-claims discount, with no guarantee of reimbursement from the transporter. This is not a resolution — it is shifting Aviva’s liability onto the customer.
The call I received on [6th May] at 15:05 from an Aviva manager was the worst customer service interaction I have experienced from a regulated financial services company:
• He refused to give his name.
• He interrupted me repeatedly while accusing me of interrupting him, and shushed me multiple times.
• He accused me of “shouting” when I raised legitimate frustration — a tone-policing tactic that carries gendered and racialised undertones when used against a woman of colour.
• He threatened to terminate the call.
• When I asked to escalate, he placed me on a prolonged hold and then transferred me DOWNWARD to a junior frontline colleague, forcing me to restart security checks.
A formal complaint has been submitted. I will be updating this review based on Aviva’s response.
If you are choosing a motor insurer: Aviva will contract third-party providers to handle your claim, fail to hold them accountable when those providers cause further damage, and then expect YOU to absorb the cost and chase the resolution. Look elsewhere.

Terrible now don’t use them

This used to be a good company but now there’s no human being to deal with, just bots. I cancelled a car policy with them and was due a refund as the policy had 2 months to run. Instead they’ve put the same amount on the credit card I used to pay them as a debit and I can’t talk properly to them. Never again

Still not fit for purpose

Yet another update, but you still haven’t fixed the issue preventing people withdrawing their own money. Pathetic.

Latest Release Completely Broken

Your latest version appears to be completely broken. It’s telling me I don’t have a policy, when plainly I do (a pension). Don’t you test these things before you get too excited about releasing?

Latest update has lost two of my Aviva Platform policies

I can see the headline valuation but now am unable to select either the pre-retirement pension nor my platform ISA as they are no longer displayed.
I’m really unhappy. That’s a zero Aviva, but I can’t select less than one!
It worked prior to the update today, ie yesterday!

Jude

Two factor authentication just doesn’t work when this company is incapable of sending a code by text. I am unable to access my account. I was going to add to my insurance but will now find a different, and hopefully, more tech savvy firm

Getting worse

There used to be a really handy feature in this app called ‘what my pension might be worth’ with a low, medium and high prediction. This was really useful but has now disappeared. I got in touch via the Help button and was asked for all my personal details on about the third person I got to. This was really offputting as I don’t need personal information about my personal pension. I just want to know where this handy feature has disappeared to please? So now I’ve decided to write a review on here hoping that the tech people see it and can fix it.

App broken

App doesn’t work. I can’t log in via the app but can via web. Not sure what’s been updated in the past few months but the mobile app doesn’t seem to work or recognise log in details

Not integrated with iOS

Really annoying that I can't pull through password from iOS or Google and have to manually enter.

Mr Clark

Awful app, can’t see my policy to change it in the app or online or to even view my pension after numerous calls and time wasted

Awful Company

Aviva don’t care about existing customers, they increased my home insurance premium renewal excessively but when I contacted them through the chat facility on the app to see if the price could be improved, they were dismissive, couldn’t care less about retaining my custom and actually rude! I won’t use them again. Avoid!

Still no support

Note, to access pensions you need your solicitor to issue a signed validation of your passport.

Just another road block.

Don * not* invest.

Can’t see how your pension is performing

The app seems to work ok, but it seems more interested in trying to cross sell you stuff rather than keep you informed about how your pension investments are performing. Not a serious pension app like HL, Fidelity or Royal London.

Kicking me out

The app keeps me kicking me out when. I make a payment

Pension pot value not updated for 3 weeks

Very frustrated currently as my pension pot value hasn’t updated since 22nd Jan despite two calls I’ve made to report the issue. Clearly falling on deaf ears.

Face ID Constantly failing

Face ID keeps failing intermittently.
Very frustrating, I have to manually recover and use my password.
It’s 2026 guys.
