accomplishes nothing

the app is pointless. you try to sign in and it takes you to safari. it then asks you to sign in again, in which it says your username and password is invalid. never been more frustrated with an app that is supposed to make things EASIER. do not bother downloading this app.

Don’t waste your time

As the previous review said. It’s a sad excuse for an “app”. When you try to log in, it opens a window with the website in the browser. Kinda defeats the purpose of an app if you ask me. Baystate needs to just join MyChart (like every other hospital I’ve been to in MA does).

Not user friendly

Trying to navigate this app is horrible! Can’t even find my appointment for next month in there to print out and give to my job. I’ll just call tomorrow and have them mail me something. Been using my chart for year and was very user friendly.

Love the provider -App is awful

My provider is excellent. But in a world where apps like MyChart are working well, this one is a nightmare. I receive messages, I can’t reply to them. I can’t access my health records. There are no options for payment here, and this is the most baffling piece to me. As a patient who wants to pay their bill, I will often hear from collections before I hear from my hospital about a bill because their billing process/department is so slow/backed up that I have gotten bills from specialists YEARS after the appointment. Whatever their back end is for this portal, it’s an absolute nightmare. Also, it’s not actually an app, it’s a web-app, so it opens an instance of your browser. MyChart would be a much better solution for Baystate, and probably save them money even if it’s more expensive. As a western mass resident, I really hope our hospital system gets it together and stays solvent/efficient. We need this medical infrastructure and we need good doctors. A good patient portal is likely to help them do better care. Also, the feedback system for the patient portal doesn’t allow real feedback. It just asks what’s important to you. It’s like they don’t want to know how badly they’re doing. UMass Worcester has MyChart, my pediatrician has it, and it’s not like I’m a fan of that in particular, but it just works. The baystate portal is useless - no notifications, logs you out too fast, no ability to reply to messages. I wonder how much the inefficiency of their system costs them? I really would like a change and not just an update to the existing software. It’s definitely time to cut their losses and dump it.

A joke

Absolutely terrible. It’s not even an app. When you touch “sign into health record“ it launches a webpage on your browser. Test results are incomplete. And I just scheduled a test, producing a notification of the location containing no address. Thanks for that. And try to pay a bill, which you’d think is their priority. Apparently you have to have memorized your account number. This app feels like the output of a mediocre computer science major to which Baystate IT outsourced this junk. Baystate is a poseur, imagining themselves to be a real academic medical system but drunk on their own Kool Aid.
