accomplishes nothing
the app is pointless. you try to sign in and it takes you to safari. it then asks you to sign in again, in which it says your username and password is invalid. never been more frustrated with an app that is supposed to make things EASIER. do not bother downloading this app.
Don’t waste your time
As the previous review said. It’s a sad excuse for an “app”. When you try to log in, it opens a window with the website in the browser. Kinda defeats the purpose of an app if you ask me. Baystate needs to just join MyChart (like every other hospital I’ve been to in MA does).
Not user friendly
Trying to navigate this app is horrible! Can’t even find my appointment for next month in there to print out and give to my job. I’ll just call tomorrow and have them mail me something. Been using my chart for year and was very user friendly.
Love the provider -App is awful
My provider is excellent. But in a world where apps like MyChart are working well, this one is a nightmare. I receive messages, I can’t reply to them. I can’t access my health records. There are no options for payment here, and this is the most baffling piece to me. As a patient who wants to pay their bill, I will often hear from collections before I hear from my hospital about a bill because their billing process/department is so slow/backed up that I have gotten bills from specialists YEARS after the appointment. Whatever their back end is for this portal, it’s an absolute nightmare. Also, it’s not actually an app, it’s a web-app, so it opens an instance of your browser. MyChart would be a much better solution for Baystate, and probably save them money even if it’s more expensive. As a western mass resident, I really hope our hospital system gets it together and stays solvent/efficient. We need this medical infrastructure and we need good doctors. A good patient portal is likely to help them do better care. Also, the feedback system for the patient portal doesn’t allow real feedback. It just asks what’s important to you. It’s like they don’t want to know how badly they’re doing. UMass Worcester has MyChart, my pediatrician has it, and it’s not like I’m a fan of that in particular, but it just works. The baystate portal is useless - no notifications, logs you out too fast, no ability to reply to messages. I wonder how much the inefficiency of their system costs them? I really would like a change and not just an update to the existing software. It’s definitely time to cut their losses and dump it.

A joke
Absolutely terrible. It’s not even an app. When you touch “sign into health record“ it launches a webpage on your browser. Test results are incomplete. And I just scheduled a test, producing a notification of the location containing no address. Thanks for that. And try to pay a bill, which you’d think is their priority. Apparently you have to have memorized your account number. This app feels like the output of a mediocre computer science major to which Baystate IT outsourced this junk. Baystate is a poseur, imagining themselves to be a real academic medical system but drunk on their own Kool Aid.

Baystate Sell out
Baystate has sold out to its corporate overlord and refuses to invest in simple things.
The app is no longer an app and it redirects you to their trash portal site.
Thanks Baystate for the phenomenal healthcare and abysmal bills.

Invalid errors
The last couple months all I’ve been getting is invalid entries, invalid, username invalid password, although I’ve been using the same ID since 2021
Terrible app
Impossible to even sign up. The code they send necessates you close the email to load app on to get a code. ( code is sent after you start process. Just awful
What did you do?!
A once fine app is now useless. First of all, there is no “app”, it takes you right to a website instead of remaining in app. Second, I can’t order refills of prescriptions - after I select the medication I need refilled, the “Continue” button is grayed out - and it won’t even let me add the medication myself. Useless.

V14 unable to log in
Opening app correctly shows v14; however, when signing into account, reverts back to older version. A message says update required, but install link doesn’t work.
App
This app is terrible. There’s not even a place to put the date you were born.
Has Potential …
…But never utilizes it. I’ve been using the portal for about a decade. It’s an inhouse web app that doesn’t give notifications, doesn’t connect well to baystate systems, doesn’t provide test results or information, and pretty consistently has been an awful experience. Baystate FINALLY stopped making it impossible to pay them with some changes on billing practices, but they really need to start using myChart. That’s what my son’s pediatrician has and it’s night and day. This can’t tell you vaccines that are due. It has a graph to display the method of weight collection - “scale”. With values of “scale” listed back to 2014 for me. Visit notes don’t connect, show up blank or with an “ad” for the portal, but no info about what was talked about in the visit. The notes are full of messes. Half the links you select them and you get an “error”. This proprietary thing that cobbles together (poorly) some systems “powered by MedChat!” Or “Powered by Pvix!” Just… doesn’t work well. At least in the last decade they kinda fixed the signin function. I’m sure they know it, comparing the # of patients to the number or users, and the fact that there’s only 38 reviews on here, they should know this thing is pretty worthless. Messages seem to work, but there’s no connection to an outside indicator, no notifications from the app, no text message or email connection to indicate a message was sent back, no place in the portal for making payments. This is a 1999 product with some 2010 website formatting still serving a whole section of massachusetts. Poorly. Or not at all. 38 reviews, no one uses this thing. I would love a better experience for My hospital and health network. Are they trying to go out of business? It’s probably costing them more to have this thing than pay for one that works.

Just like the website!
This app works just like the website and seems to have improved based on older reviews!
Reset Password again, again, & again….
Every time I log into the Baystate Health patient portal I am asked to reset my password, meaning to me that it’s an exercise in futility because they do not appear to possess the resources to save passwords while keeping them secure.
Garbage App
As a developer myself, this application might be the biggest dumpster fire I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t even keep you logged in, doesn’t properly utilize the keychain, and has a giant close button in the web pop up that closes your session out. I could develop a better experience in my sleep.
At the moment
The app won’t let me see my test results or anything.
Poor
Login difficulties, unintuitive menu structure, non-standard navigation icons, and requires a separate sub-login just to pay your bill (you’d think Baystate would at least prioritize making it easy to pay them). This app seems rushed to market, and then abandoned.
A mess I have to use = TORTURE
They should have had the developers of Mass General work on this. The sign in page has a help windows that pops up and blocks the field for password until you hit the X.
Typing in the message field to your provider won’t let you move the cursor toward the bottom without it thinking you want to open the photo attachment box. Your appointment page is not in order by date.
But there’s no alternative so you’re stuck. It’s probably best only on a lap or desk top but def not on your phone.
So frustrating.

At the moment, useless
It won’t let me log in, I put it my credentials and a message says “enter password”. Even though the password is in the field. It works on the website via multiple browsers. So this app that isn’t really an app more of an emulator of the website, is crap. Which is unfortunate
