Works well

Happy with the app. Itโ€™s working well and using a solid app framework. Minus one star because they donโ€™t offer Apple Health integration, even though the app description says so. I reached out to support and they said they have no intention of enabling it.

Cannot login or use it recently ;(

The app was so great until they added a pop-up at the login screen for vaccines. Every time you click login, it goes back to the main login page, but then doesnโ€™t let you click login and pops up the vaccine for Covid once again๐Ÿคฏ

Itโ€™s been like this for the last four weeks

Helpful reminders

The reminders are very helpful for upcoming appointments. As most patients are very busy with family and friends. The Rx list helpful also.

MyBCH

The client portal for MyBCH has been very helpful and test results and messaging and all other functions are handled well!

Great Care

Great team of doctors, nurses and support staff.

Exceptional Medical App

All the information you need and didnโ€™t know you needed until you open the app is organized clearly in My BCH. Someone did an excellent job creating it:

waiting for reply

i have checked this for a reply on a med refill twice a day for the last week and got no reply. waste of time. i called too.

Where the specialist are for neurology,

Thank goodness for Dr William Shaffer .

Exceptional Care!

Colleen is an awesome Primary Care Provider. She is technically perfect and she listens carefully to every concern.

Creating barriers for patients

By implementing mandatory 2FA they are creating barriers for patients, especially the elderly, from accessing their medical information. So many elderly patients are unfamiliar with 2FA or they don't have a cellphone or email address.

Amazing job hindering the patient's ability to access their medical information in a timely manner. ZERO stars.

All the info in one place

Enjoying the ability to make appts, send messages, and view results all in one place.

very good app

this is a great app to keep track of health. live to be able to message my care providers

Billing

The billing and dealing with the insurance is very frustrating.

Yuck

Literally hate this app. Donโ€™t appreciate the ridiculous amount of notifications that are the default. Canโ€™t even imagine how the 70 & 80 olds are navigating it.

App went modal to announce arrival

The app went modal for me requiring me to announce that I have arrived for my appointment (which is in a couple of hours) and I could not exit the modality in order to complete the โ€œpaperworkโ€ and submit the questionnaires before I arrive. The app also wanted me to grant location services all the time, not only when I had the app open. That is an invasion of privacy. My husband who has 46 years of computer experience says it was a poorly designed and written application.

Some things great, others frustrating

The site gives me access to a lot of my information and in that way is very helpful.
But the โ€œmedications listโ€ feature is very frustrating. (I take a LOT of different medications.)
-the medications are not listed alphabetically so itโ€™s easy to inadvertently omit one.
-there is no obvious way to change dosage information, so I have to โ€œremoveโ€ with a note reporting the new dosage (not intending to remove, but to edit).
-and each time I โ€œeditโ€ the list, the system starts the list over again so I have to scroll down the whole list to find where I left off.

Good and friendly app

Only downside of the app is that all the notifications are borderline harassment. Iโ€™m new to the BCH app and had to turn off all the notifications 2 days from downloading. Itโ€™s too much

Questionnaire requires info already on file with BMC primary provider. Isnโ€™t info completed shared with all BMC docs/offices? Loading pictures of insurance cards into the Questionnaire requires new log-in each time.

Generally Good, BUTโ€ฆ.

I am on a couple of these type of portals, and this one is the best, but it has a few bugs that have never been corrected:

1). In doing a set of pre-appointment forms, is it truly necessary to skim and sign the exact same set of obligatory forms, every single time you have an appointment, even if you have just done it a few weeks ago? How about a box right at the beginning that says, โ€œHas anything changed? Last time you said OK. Click OK here and move on.โ€

2). At my most recent set of pre-appt forms, there was a little progress bar across the top - very good. However, after telling me I had two forms to fill out, with the bar showing around 90% done, they forced another form on me - the medical history one, which I have filled out maybe 4x per year every year.

3). I fill out these forms on my personal iPad Pro, with all the updates (currently iOS ver 17). On the Med Hist form, all those buttons on the multiple choice questions (e.g., โ€œWhen you smoked did you smokeโ€ฆ1 pack per day/ 2 packs per day/ 3 packs per day โ€ฆโ€) all the buttons look identical, so you canโ€™t see which one you chose last time. Can't you just make the background a different color to indicate the existing record selection, or embolden the font, or something?

4). Also on that Med Hist form, there was a glitch in filling in my sisterโ€™s name (it didnโ€™t show her breast cancer, so I was adding it) and no drop-down list appeared, so I typed it in. Now it looks like I have two sisters with the same exact name.

To the BCH IT staff: I hope you can do something about these little conditions marring your actually very good interface - I would love to give you the full 5 stars!
