Moo
Kinda clunky sometimes, inaccurate.
to operate compared to my old Vetta C-20 cycling computer and the C-20 does not require constant background app refresh to be toggled on. This app wants to know where you’re at “always” versus just during use. Why is that? With each use of this app, “start” requires and demands this app to always set refresh in the background and to be “always” tracked which uses up battery life while not riding miles. Shut down the always option for while using and I’ll refresh while on Wi-Fi.

Response from developer
Fixed. Only requires “while in use”
Small
The readout is to small to see while riding. They’re other things but I don’t feel like writing an essay
Love this App
I love this app it’s data is much closer to that produced by my old tyre circumference based device which I mounted alongside for comparison.
Here are comparison figures for an 18 mile cycle ‘MyBikeRides’ in the first column, old device in the second
Distance 18.46. 18.67 (miles)
Time. 1:57. 1:54 (total time 2:15) (20 minute stop for some gym work)
Average Sp 9.5. 9.7 mph (it was hilly :)
Max. 30.7. 28.3
Cal. 693. 1018
Climb. 986
Min E. 403
Max E. 764
Found this data to be surprisingly accurate and the map screen to be easier to read than a well known competitor
Lots of information on the screen too, like distance, current speed, average, elapsed time, elevation and ETA back to home. Also a useful retrace your route option
Active screen shows map and track covered in a choice of Map, Satellite or Both as does the Log which shows all the above information
To keep the screen active on an IPhone go to Settings and display & brightness. Set auto lock to never if you don’t want the phone to sleep. It would be useful if this could be done via the app.
The first time I used MyBikeRides I kept my phone in my breast pocket and on a 24 mile run it only showed 22 with major discrepancies with all the data, however with my phone mounted on the handle bars and open to the sky this problem was solved and it was amazingly accurate.
5 stars - In short a brilliant app at a great price

Everything You Need
Everything I need in one app. Works flawlessly for me. Gives me all the data a 63 year old needs & allows performance comparisons from one ride to another assuming they are the same route. Administrator is very quick with responses to questions. I would have liked an instructions page to be certain I wasn’t missing any features, but it is rather intuitive.
