Moo

Kinda clunky sometimes, inaccurate.

to operate compared to my old Vetta C-20 cycling computer and the C-20 does not require constant background app refresh to be toggled on. This app wants to know where you’re at “always” versus just during use. Why is that? With each use of this app, “start” requires and demands this app to always set refresh in the background and to be “always” tracked which uses up battery life while not riding miles. Shut down the always option for while using and I’ll refresh while on Wi-Fi.

Response from developer

Fixed. Only requires “while in use”

Small

The readout is to small to see while riding. They’re other things but I don’t feel like writing an essay

Love this App

I love this app it’s data is much closer to that produced by my old tyre circumference based device which I mounted alongside for comparison.

Here are comparison figures for an 18 mile cycle ‘MyBikeRides’ in the first column, old device in the second

Distance 18.46. 18.67 (miles)
Time. 1:57. 1:54 (total time 2:15) (20 minute stop for some gym work)
Average Sp 9.5. 9.7 mph (it was hilly :)
Max. 30.7. 28.3
Cal. 693. 1018
Climb. 986
Min E. 403
Max E. 764

Found this data to be surprisingly accurate and the map screen to be easier to read than a well known competitor

Lots of information on the screen too, like distance, current speed, average, elapsed time, elevation and ETA back to home. Also a useful retrace your route option

Active screen shows map and track covered in a choice of Map, Satellite or Both as does the Log which shows all the above information

To keep the screen active on an IPhone go to Settings and display & brightness. Set auto lock to never if you don’t want the phone to sleep. It would be useful if this could be done via the app.

The first time I used MyBikeRides I kept my phone in my breast pocket and on a 24 mile run it only showed 22 with major discrepancies with all the data, however with my phone mounted on the handle bars and open to the sky this problem was solved and it was amazingly accurate.

5 stars - In short a brilliant app at a great price

Everything You Need

Everything I need in one app. Works flawlessly for me. Gives me all the data a 63 year old needs & allows performance comparisons from one ride to another assuming they are the same route. Administrator is very quick with responses to questions. I would have liked an instructions page to be certain I wasn’t missing any features, but it is rather intuitive.

Great app!

Be nice if there was an option to keep the screen on all the time.

It Works well

Got serious about riding my bike again after 10 year hiatus.... always had a computer tied to the wheel before. Found this app after people at the bike store tuned up my antique Gary Fisher pseudo mountain bike and told be to get with the times.... found this app and ride every other day for at least 20 minutes, used the app for about 50 miles lost 13 pounds and like how the app tracks my progress. No bugs and is just what I needed.

Has yet to work correctly for me.

Shuts off part way through ride. Have yet to have it work through an entire ride.

Response from developer

You may want to check that you have "Locations" set to "Always" in Apple Settings or the app will lose connection when your iPhone goes to sleep. "Always" is required for the app to get GPS data when the app is in the background. Also insure you have Background App Refresh or again the app will lose connection.

Love this app

I’ve been using MyBikeRides now for three years. I love it. It’s very easy to use and it enables me to track my routes, times, distance and speed with ease. The app also enables me to share my information with others of forward it to myself for more detailed analysis. If you’re considering an app to track your rides, give this one serious consideration!

This app is pretty kool. I jog, bike and run!
This App is very accurate on dist. And time. I love the Mapping and track info as you can back trac without getting lost!
Sweet.

Great tracker

Recommended for anyone looking to track distances and calories burned. Only bad quality is will stop tracking when phone battery falls below 20%.

Response from developer

Fixed. No longer stops tracking at 20% battery.

Really helpful for anyone who loves good apps.

I bike a lot. To college, work, and around. Now I know how fast I go, how far I travel and other useful information. It's cool that it shows in maps where you have gone and it's very accurate. GREAT APP

View details and report crashes app

I can't view details or review a trip report without the app crashing. Please test and fix. Also think about adding a elevation change graph to show all the changes, instead of change from point A to point B. thanks.

Response from developer

Issue fixed. Your email was not setup and app crashed instead of informing you that you need to setup email to run the reports. App no longer crashes but instead lets you know you need to setup email to run reports.

MyBikeRide

Non-invasive, does everything I wanted without having to sign up, sign in, advertise etc. Great app!

My Bike Rides

Really good. Works really well. Very accurate. Would suggest including a record a map of your ride as part of History. Good value for money. UPDATE: Maps and records are very accurate. Well worth buying this. Highly recommended.

Not bad

Interface needs to be improved

Having fun with this app!

I guess I wasted mt money on my odometer! This is nice!
