Too buggy
I wish I liked it, but this app is just too buggy. I don’t know how other people use it. It won’t delete my items (hangs), it won’t let me rename it, support is not helpful saying they can’t reproduce. I tried to log out and log in again, and it won’t even accept my password anymore. Sooo buggy

Pricing is outrageous
Honestly this app would be cool and convenient. It takes a semi-annoying task and makes it easier and easy to check on your phone. The fact that they wanna rake you over the coals for $25 a month if you have more than 75 active items between agar plates or liquid culture is absolutely ridiculous up until they added the pricing. I would’ve recommended this app but for the price point. Get yourself a pen and paper.

Hey, sorry to hear you had such a negative experience with MycoFile. We’re in the process of reworking the limits to be based on new items per month so the $4/month plan comfortably covers personal use. The current limits were intended for commercial growers managing larger volumes, and they don’t always map well to setups with things like prints, syringes, and plates. When that update is live, it should be a much better fit if you decide to give it another try.

I paid for the app now I can’t get it to load! It needs an update for the newest IOS.

This app is so good. I wish I had this a year ago. It’s such a pain to keep track of everything. This makes tracking so easy and fun actually. If you grow mushrooms. You need this. So worth it.

Great app for mycofiles or small farms looking to organize and track. Unsure how the colonization circle graphs works despite strains colonizing at different speeds but appreciate the visual representation nonetheless. Great stuff

For the customer service alone I hope mycofiles creator makes a small fortune because this app sure is what the world of mycological cultivation needed.

Years ago, I was using Airtable to try and build something like this—but without coding skills, it was basically impossible. This app does it all for you. It lets you track and document every step of your grow, from spores to harvest, and automatically generates individual QR codes for every single item.
You can print those codes directly through the app or export them for printing, which solves one of the more frustrating problems I ran into before finding this.
Also, I’ve got to shout out the in-app support—it’s fantastic. Messaging them gets you quick, helpful responses every time.
Sure there are going to be little things that every farmer may wish were a little different and more customizable—however it’s the closest to a one size fits all product. This app is so good. I wish I had this a year ago. It’s such a pain to keep track of everything. This makes tracking so easy and fun actually. If you grow mushrooms. You need this. So worth it.
Great app for mushroom growers!
I'm fairly new to mushroom cultivation, and this app is helping a lot with organizing and keeping track of my grows so far! I'd highly recommend it for anyone taking part in the hobby or growing commercially. I'm a little surprised it's not used more frequently given how useful it is.
I do wish that you could edit activity though; sometimes I accidentally click the wrong thing, and it's stuck in the activity log forever. (Example: I meant to set a grow to "colonizing" but accidentally set it as "colonized". I fixed it, but "colonized" is in the activity log and can't be removed.)
I also wish that you could bunch items together—I didn't know what it meant by "batch" and put some items in individually that I wish I had put together, so now they're named a little off in terms of numbers.
Overall this is a great app, and I'm looking forward to how it might improve in the future. The issues I have are minor quality-of-life issues, and the foundation is very strong.

I was an early adopter - I needed a way to keep track of my grows, supplies, ratios, recipes, and much more!
Customer service is awesome - any questions or requests are answered typically in less than 2 hours!
Lots of features and they are open to adding requests on how to improve their products! They support phemomo label makers so you can generate labels.
It keeps tracks of info such as harvest weight, dry weight, supply inventory and countless other features. There are many other features that I am unable to list at the moment. I’d rate them over 5 stars. This program is definitely worth it. Kudos to the team! Mush love!
