Hard To Use
Trying to register my kit and it keeps telling me my kit number is invalid. I was able to make an online account with FTDNA with that kit number and it’s on my testing supplies. No clue how to fix this!

Very bad you have technical issues with email and no phone number to call three times I have sent messages and you sent the link once again same problem
Lacking
I sent a review and it disappeared. As useful
As the app. If you are rich and have a chef and personal trainer the app is for you.

Hopeless service!
After countless emails fixing sign in problems and now, after chasing them, was emailed that my results are ready for review in the App (which is useless). No instructions given about the App when I did finally locate where they should be in INSIGHTS - there are NO RESULTS at all showing!!
The Home page is completely empty. What a joke.
This has been false advertising from what sold itself to be an in depth scientific approach to health, based on unique DNA results.
I want a full refund!!

Interesting insights
Interesting insights that allow you to reflect on current lifestyle and make adjustments where needed.
The App is terrible. The notifications don’t open and the diet plan is too complex to follow and gas you eating meals that add up to 100 calories?
The exercise plan I selected was gym workout and it is mostly body weight or dumbbell exercise when it should at least have major compound exercises.
Overall the App is fine for receiving and reading your insights but that is all. Not worth the subscription as I only got 2 other insights after subscribing that were not much value.

Still needs work
The results are very interesting, however when I get a daily notification specifically targeted to my and my genes, it doesn’t take you to the relevant information, it just opens the app to the home page of the “insights”. Would be better if it went right to the exact place the notification was about. Also agree with previous feedback, the menu to far too “fancy” and not enough basic food options.

Not worth it.
It’s basically, eat well and sore a bit more. Plenty of free apps out there to help with this. It’s confusing. Information is everywhere. Not coherent and not succinct. Cannot cancel the subscription prior to expiry of free trial. Frustrating.
Great app
With this app, I know much more about myself and got plans suits with my DNA. Extremely handy!
I want to love this app
Struggling to enjoy this app but it constantly crashes and now all of my insights have disappeared. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it, more of the same. Still yet, because I’m a Wellness subscriber I can’t even login to the website to see my information, it directs me back to the app. So frustrating. Maybe their system is down, but how do I tell? I guess I expected better from a company that partners with FamilytreeDNA.

Response from developer
Hi there, thank you for leaving a review and sorry to hear you have had problems with the app. We request you to upgrade the app to the latest version as we have fixed the bug. Do write to us at support@mydna.life if you still face any issue.
App is useless
I’ve gotten push notifications that my incoming DNA test results have been published in the app, but opening it shows nothing is there. Refreshing likewise changes nothing. All I get is a bunch of general advertising videos about how to improve my life based on my dna insights… which would be great if I could actually ACCESS them. Hopefully heading physically into the clinic where I purchased the test will yield more answers (supposedly they’ve been sent a copy of the results)…

Not great for Australians
I was excited to get test results back that info was interesting & confirm the foods & exercise I like but the food options were not easy, we’re expensive options, very American in style. I don’t like that I couldn’t just have veggie & meat options it’s one or the other. Not very helpful with food ideas as the food was way to fancy. A simplified diet with more special dietary options would be better.
The exercises are explained well.

Great App
I found the information on this app great, really nice way to discover more about yourself. In my first 30 days on the app I got all my insights - sleep was really cool.
confusing as hell
Just to help others - this IS the app for "My DNA" (mydna.life)
I had issues trying to clarify which app was the right one - there's another one called 'MY DNA ' (Pink icon).
I bought the testing kit which only provided manual instructions to "go get the My DNA App" (no link provided).
There was also no link to the app on the website or any screen shots of what the app icon looks like.
I had assumed this was the wrong app when i was unable to find the 'activate DNA kit". I realised that it was hidden below a tonne of videos.
Hope this helps the team to review their user flows as this has not been the best experience.
Another note - I was concerned to see that the replied paid envelope has the company branding and swab instructions on the outside. This makes it immensly obvious what is inside this package, making it an easy target for identifity theft etc.

finished all the registration, the swab and everything but the app won’t let me log in.
It’s cat fishing
You can not finish the registration if you don’t agree to an ongoing subscription. This is upsetting and frustrating.
