The best PKM across the Apple Ecosystem
I have spent far too much money over the past year attempting to find the “perfect” note taking app/PKM. Well, I suppose that after a year of aimlessly searching and spending close to $1,000 on subscriptions, I can officially say that this is the best PKM available. Plus, the developer is responsive via email and seems to be a very kind soul as he was courteous enough to extend my free trial once I was unable to use it due to a family health matter.

Useless and Unsuable
I'm honestly extremely disappointed with this application — it does absolutely nothing. My notes don't render, my voice notes don't do anything, and it stays stuck on "analyzing." I deleted the app, logged out, and tried all the usual fixes, but it just doesn't work. I'm not really sure how else to say this, but it's been nothing but frustrating. The application hasn't been updated in three months, and as far as I'm concerned, it's been abandoned. Yes, you can log in, but if you can't save your notes and retrieve them properly, then it's useless for what it's supposed to do.

Completely unusable

No AI, no chat
You have to upload one document at a time the analysis is weak and you cannot functionally chat with a single document. Let alone an entire collection knowledge base because the chat simply does not work. There is no response from the AI further these are dime a dozen and without the ability for mcp and/api what’s the point? Also pay for gpt 4o? That’s marketing Language for 12 months ago.

Broken
The service breaks continuously, leaving the app unusable for at least a day until the devs can rouse themselves to respond to help requests. The AI is useless, as it often just doesn’t respond, or else it is so clueless it can’t fetch the most basic information. This app really feels like it’s still in beta testing, except we’re paying to use it.

This app used to work but now for the last few months it locks up and is useless for days at a time.
Opportunities
It’s easy to upload content. The search works better now. I wish the keyword approach would improve, so you could see a lust of keywords and group by keyword. Adding screenshots to a note seems to work, it gets added, but when you later open the note there is just an empty picture. The camera is rotated 90 degrees when using it on an iPad. I wish it would be upgraded to a letter model than GPT-4o. I don’t see any update of the app for 4 months. There are good opportunities ahead, but where are the requested updates that people share and that you share in the newsletter?

Stupid App, always logs out
This app is super frustrating to use, always logs out without any reason, dead slow servers, most of the days remain down when it’s needed. Really frustrating user experience with no visible user experience upgrade in years. No development at all.

Top-Notch App With Hard-Working Team
I invested in MyMemo AI on AppSumo. I was and continue to be impressed with what this team has developed. It is very nifty that MyMemo AI leverages a copied link in preparation and can auto-generate tags quickly. Being able to summarize content via AI very quickly is helpful when researching. I would still love to see full article text directly in the saved item, however, for safekeeping in case the original copy is removed.
One wishlist item would be having the ability to import, say, 10 to 20 articles on a topic and then to not only have individual AI summary access but an overview AI summary of this entire collection.
The MyMemo team listened to commenters on AppSumo and added a way to capture Pocket links. With regard to this, this customer would still love to see the full text and images (and actual thumbnail images) in the Pocket-ported MyMemo items. As of now, each item is essentially just a bookmark. All the tags I painstakingly saved are also missing. Essentially, the Pocket-port experience is a big downgrade from natively saved content.
I would also love to see the ability to sort entries by creation date, alphabetical order, etc. It would be very helpful to have the ability to delete multiple entries from the overview screen (All, for example) as opposed to having to tap on each item to delete it. When you have hundreds of items to delete, it’s a tall task.

Very capable app that’s constantly getting better.
This app can capture just about everything with ease. I’ve always loved the UI. Collections lets you organize the things you capture. You can even tag and add notes to different objects.
The AI was not good previously before their recent update to their AskMemo. Now (as of the time of this review) there’s a night and difference. The ai works much better now for chatting with the things you’ve captured. The AI will even analyze PDFs, images, video, audio and so much more.
The app is still fairly new but feature rich. I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.

Amazing app to organize your thoughts
I can’t believe I haven’t heard of this app before! An absolute hidden gem. Nothing has kept my brain as organized as this because the sheer amount of information out there can be overwhelming. I’m never losing anything again. The AI features are absolutely incredible.

Leider nicht zuverlässig
Man muss sich MyMemo AI ständig neu einloggen. Ziemlich lästig, wenn man es regelmäßig nutzen möchte.
Wenn es mal wieder, alle 1-2 Wochen erneut eingeloggt werden muss, wird die Liste der vorbereiteten Themen nicht angezeigt, nachdem man sich mal wieder einloggen musste.
Erst wenn man die App, über die man Inhalte speichern wollte, komplett geschlossen wurde, klappte es wieder. Dann ist aber auch der Beitrag weg, wenn man sie dann erneut öffnete (z.B. LinkedIn).
Und aktuell wird MyMemo Ai in der Auswahl im aktuellsten Chrome Browser nicht mehr angezeigt.
Ziemlich unbrauchbar und lästig.
