What Does It Mean?
Due to all of their information to read being so microscopic, I haven’t been able to find out what “Out of Ketosis” means and how to fix that. I had to search the internet *eye roll*, which didn’t give any real help. “Cut down on your carbs” yet I’m not consuming any carbs. Steak twice a day with water…all day. Go to consuming water only? Maybe cut out the daily 10-minutes of walking and 10-minutes of trampoline. *growling*
Since I’m gently losing weight and not feeling hungry between meals/zero snacking…which I count as a miracle…I’m just testing to make my doctor happy.
Oh, and the testing strip packets, are super tough to tear open. Must’ve fashioned it after Ft. Knox’s security.
Aldo, I suggest you obtain a Sherlock Holmes size magnifying glass for reading everything…because even possible blood sugar issues don’t affect one’s vision…ever…right?
Response from developer
Thank you for taking the time to share all of this. We hear your frustration, and really glad you reached out so we can clear things up. First, about the app delay: your meter and the app don’t continuously sync in real time if both are not powered on at the same time. The meter stores your readings, and the app pulls them over when the two connect (via Bluetooth) typically when the app is open and in range. If you’re seeing results show up hours later, it usually means the app wasn’t actively connected at the time of testing. A quick tip: try opening the app before or right after you test to prompt an immediate sync. Also, please double check that your tags are set correctly in the app. If tags (like visible date range you'd like to view) aren’t aligned with when you’re actually testing, it can make the data appear out of order or harder to interpret. On the “Out of Ketosis” message, we completely understand how confusing that can be, especially without clear context. This status is based on your ketone reading: Nutritional ketosis generally starts around 0.5 mmol/L or higher Below that, the app may label it as “out of ketosis” Even if you’re eating very low carb (which it sounds like you are), ketone levels can fluctuate for a number of reasons including timing of meals, protein intake (higher protein can sometimes lower ketones), stress, sleep, hydration, or even time of day. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re doing anything wrong..especially since you’re seeing progress like weight loss and reduced hunger. Also, just to reassure you, you absolutely do NOT need to cut out things like light activity or go to extremes like water only. What you’re doing sounds sustainable and aligned with your goals, and that matters. On the packaging and readability, fair feedback. We do have this available in a digital copy where you can enlarge the text. There is a small slit on each packet to help with tearing, and they are intentionally designed to be very durable (so they don’t get damaged before use), so you can give it a firm pull to open. Thanks again for your honesty (and humor). We’re here to help make this easier, not harder. Please reach out to us at support@keto-mojo.com and we’d be happy to assist you if you have any questions!
