A beautifully made app.
Very versatile
Fabulous sound, great control, horrendous user interface
Having said all that, the user interface to cinfrol all this is a strange quirky affair with ambiguous buttons and symbols scattered across the screen, with bizarre custom interactions unlike any other app.
You can see the developer takes pride in not following conventions, but those conventions are there for a reason…
Customization and randomization!
It’s nice
Absolutely love it
My favourite sound is "Distant thunder", which is free, and you can calibrate the levels/ratio of the thunder and rain sounds. So calming.
I want to buy the developer of this app a drink
Review
Remarkable
Changed how I Work
The selection of sounds is staggering for any service like this, and the recording quality is top-notch; I literally haven't seen anything like this that offers more. That combined with the price makes this a steal! I purchased AYCH when it was a one-time charge, but I really appreciate that I can still receive new generators through the app, as well as the fact that this also happens, even if you cancel your subscription.
I did have a few final comments that I think would improve the experience even more though. I switch between using MyNoise on my iPad and iPhone, and I think it's a bit of a shame in this day and age that my custom generator settings and multigens don't sync. I think it would be amazing to sync these over iCloud, or have some sort of account system on the site so that this could even work cross-platform. Even so, none of that detracts from the quality of this app. Hands down the best noise generator ever.
The Most Fun, Smart, and Soothing Sound App I’ve Ever Come Across
From the listening to my favorite albums with a cricket choir and rolling waves in the background, to thunderstorms helping me sleep, I cannot recommend this app enough.
My (by far) favourite app of all time.
Amazing app
Chanting in Geez from Ethiopia
One suggestion I would like to make to the developers is to consider adding Ethiopian Orthodox Geez chants to their collection of sounds. This would not only enhance the app's cultural diversity but also provide a unique and spiritually enriching experience for users interested in such chants. It's a beautiful addition that could help MyNoise stand out even more in the world of audio apps.

Hello, My apologies again for a very buggy release - we have been having issues with releasing things too fast in time for the holidays and I mismanaged the Q&A process after releasing a version by mistake earlier this week. Please go to your app store and you should see myNoise version 2.9.8 which fixes the audio glitch that made the generators sound like a ‘wave’ where sounds come-in and go regularly. The generators should now play at a constant volume. My apologies for disrupting your routine, I know that myNoise is sometimes crucial to some of our user’s daily life, and I hope this version will be the last of the 2.x line. I am still processing the Testflight user backlog - expect an email from Apple in the coming days if you have expressed interest in joining our pool of beta testers. For the techies amongst you: the root of the issue is that one of the Apple components myNoise relies on has been rewritten for iOS 16.2 and some of its operations became partially asynchronous, creating a host of race conditions in our ageing audio engine, which required a lot of changes in a crucial part of our system, with little time to test… A recipe for disaster. That’s for the bad news. The good news is that the brand new V3 audio engine (written in Rust) didn’t have any issues and will hopefully make its way to myNoise / TestFlight in 2023! My apologies again, and wishing you happy holidays.
My sounds disappear constantly
Edit: Another 1 star review from KandiKlover 2 years ago says “my presets that I faved are gone every time I close and then re-open the app”. So no, it’s not an issue on my side. You have many, many 1 star reviews that complain about the app crashing and losing people’s preferred settings. This seems to be an issue across devices and OS versions because you’ve been getting this feedback for years. PLEASE FIX THIS.
So underrated!
Having these kind of quality sounds with this amount of choice would cost you money with other apps. I’ve even seen ones that you have to pay for each individual sound.
Thanks to the team for creating this
Confused - but resolved
Regretted sending this immediately as I use and love the website and regretted it more so when the dev replied as below.
Worked out how to edit app reviews since mynoise is worth battling tech for. Apologies to the dev for letting my tech bewilderment speak out.

Hello! Thanks a lot for this new review ! I understand the initial confusion but sadly we can't resolve it as quickly as we'd like: our main iOS developer is out of work so we can't release an update to the current version. We have hired a new developer to develop a brand new 'V3' but this is taking time. Android is scheduled for release in October, iOS in February 2024. I'd love to hear from you when this new application is available. If you wish, you can write to me to beta-test it (my email address is below). I leave under here part of my previous message for anyone else who would wonder about the current business model. Best Regards, Rémy - - - - - - We are currently conducting a test: the subscription to the app is not a classic subscription: you can stop paying whenever you want and still enjoy your lifetime privilege. The goal was to allow everyone to donate what they considered the fair price, according to their own wealth. Getting access to all the soundscapes has never been as cheap as today: you can pay for one month and stop paying directly. We probably haven't been clear enough because many users think it's a "classic subscription"... We'll therefore revert this and go back to a classic 25$ "one time purchase" in the next months when we release a major overhaul of the app. I hope you understand better, otherwise you can contact remy@mynoise.net
