A beautifully made app.

The sounds are infinitely variable and extremely creative. Useful and inspiring. Very easy to find a mood. Thank you for adding newer soundscapes ❤️🎵❤️

Very versatile

Honestly the best white noise app I’ve found with minimal ads and you don’t have to pay a premium for it! Absolutely fantastic quality I’m so glad to have found this website and app it saves my sleep really

Fabulous sound, great control, horrendous user interface

I’ve been using this app for years. The sounds are unbelievably good. The best of any I have tried and there is fine control to equalise and combine sounds. Many sounds are recorded specifically for headphones and are exactly like the real thing.

Having said all that, the user interface to cinfrol all this is a strange quirky affair with ambiguous buttons and symbols scattered across the screen, with bizarre custom interactions unlike any other app.

You can see the developer takes pride in not following conventions, but those conventions are there for a reason…

Customization and randomization!

What I particularly like about this app in addition to its large collection of pleasant and interesting sounds - where else can you get an assortment of Old West sounds (Ghost Town, which you have to pay for, but it's worth it)? - is that you can customize them - make sounds within the sounds louder or quieter or turn them off - and randomize them with the Animate feature that continuously adjusts the sounds within the sounds randomly, making it hard to figure out the loop and giving you an experience that's as close to the real thing as possible. I'm glad that when you turn certain sounds off, they stay off even with that feature. I also like the colored sounds in the White Noise & Co sound that you can also customize and it's like getting a massage for your brain.

It’s nice

There is nice sounds but all the other sounds cost money but I do recommend!

Absolutely love it

I love and use this app so much that I went back to see if I can donate money to the developers. The free app and sounds have everything you could want.

My favourite sound is "Distant thunder", which is free, and you can calibrate the levels/ratio of the thunder and rain sounds. So calming.

I want to buy the developer of this app a drink

I think this app is so cool! I had the free version for at least a year and never wished I had access more features or sounds. One because there are plenty of sounds to choose from and the way each element of the overall scene can be adjusted still blows my mind, but also, the developer doesn’t dangle a bunch of stuff you have to pay for in your face or annoy you with ads until you’re forced to either subscribe or leave. I have so much respect and appreciation for this. But it gets even better! Their subscription policy is the most generous I’ve seen and I just discovered the website that has photos of the locations where the sounds were recorded! I could go on and on but this app is amazing and I genuinely believe they created it to help people and share the things that make them happy.

It always makes me feel better 😎

Remarkable

Using it is an act of creativity. Sure, you can roll with presets but combining different sounds on your own is so satisfying. A wonderful concept wonderfully implemented.

Changed how I Work

First of all, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you guys for making MyNoise. It has instrumentally shaped how I do my work and operate in work environments. It's made me more productive and allowed me to feel "in the zone" more.
The selection of sounds is staggering for any service like this, and the recording quality is top-notch; I literally haven't seen anything like this that offers more. That combined with the price makes this a steal! I purchased AYCH when it was a one-time charge, but I really appreciate that I can still receive new generators through the app, as well as the fact that this also happens, even if you cancel your subscription.
I did have a few final comments that I think would improve the experience even more though. I switch between using MyNoise on my iPad and iPhone, and I think it's a bit of a shame in this day and age that my custom generator settings and multigens don't sync. I think it would be amazing to sync these over iCloud, or have some sort of account system on the site so that this could even work cross-platform. Even so, none of that detracts from the quality of this app. Hands down the best noise generator ever.

The Most Fun, Smart, and Soothing Sound App I’ve Ever Come Across

I have been using this app for about 2 years. I am incredibly blown away by the quality and variety that this app has in terms of soundscapes, but also how incredible the software it is itself. This app lets you choose how many sounds you wish to play at once, control your volume. However, the best feature to me is by far the controls and the animated setting. This app allows you to control the soundscapes themselves, by giving you several levers that impact the way the sound is generated. This complimented excellently by the ability to set the controls on animated, which gives the dynamics of the soundscape the ability to shift automatically at your chosen speed, which produces an extremely realistic ebb-and-flow for the atmosphere you’re listening to.
From the listening to my favorite albums with a cricket choir and rolling waves in the background, to thunderstorms helping me sleep, I cannot recommend this app enough.

My (by far) favourite app of all time.

I always loved soundscapes and to have an app that has so many of them is fantastic. Even more though is to control each frequency band to tailor make it however you want it to sound, tricking your brain to perceive the sound as realistic as it gets. On top of this you can combine any of these sound to come up with any unique soundscapes. I just love it. I use it everyday.. to go to sleep, to focus on work, walking past noisy streets, when I study or wash dishes.. I live in the city now but with this app I get brought back into nature and the countryside of my hometown in just a click. Thank you.

Chanting in Geez from Ethiopia

I recently tried out the MyNoise audio app, and I must say it's a fantastic tool for creating customized soundscapes. The app offers a wide variety of sounds and ambient noises that cater to different preferences and purposes, from relaxation to productivity.

One suggestion I would like to make to the developers is to consider adding Ethiopian Orthodox Geez chants to their collection of sounds. This would not only enhance the app's cultural diversity but also provide a unique and spiritually enriching experience for users interested in such chants. It's a beautiful addition that could help MyNoise stand out even more in the world of audio apps.

Response from developer

Hello, My apologies again for a very buggy release - we have been having issues with releasing things too fast in time for the holidays and I mismanaged the Q&A process after releasing a version by mistake earlier this week. Please go to your app store and you should see myNoise version 2.9.8 which fixes the audio glitch that made the generators sound like a ‘wave’ where sounds come-in and go regularly. The generators should now play at a constant volume. My apologies for disrupting your routine, I know that myNoise is sometimes crucial to some of our user’s daily life, and I hope this version will be the last of the 2.x line. I am still processing the Testflight user backlog - expect an email from Apple in the coming days if you have expressed interest in joining our pool of beta testers. For the techies amongst you: the root of the issue is that one of the Apple components myNoise relies on has been rewritten for iOS 16.2 and some of its operations became partially asynchronous, creating a host of race conditions in our ageing audio engine, which required a lot of changes in a crucial part of our system, with little time to test… A recipe for disaster. That’s for the bad news. The good news is that the brand new V3 audio engine (written in Rust) didn’t have any issues and will hopefully make its way to myNoise / TestFlight in 2023! My apologies again, and wishing you happy holidays.

My sounds disappear constantly

Has some great sounds, but even though I’m still using the same device, I haven’t used the app for a few months and came back and half of my downloads, all of my favorites and personal calibrations are all gone. I click “restore purchases” and nothing happens, none of my old stuff comes back. There’s this sound called “Yakutian voices” that I loved, that sadly I can’t even find anymore even after I downloaded it. Very upsetting. And this isn’t just one fluke. Over the years, this has happened on three separate occasions, and when I click “restore purchases” I get nothing back. Very upset about this.

Edit: Another 1 star review from KandiKlover 2 years ago says “my presets that I faved are gone every time I close and then re-open the app”. So no, it’s not an issue on my side. You have many, many 1 star reviews that complain about the app crashing and losing people’s preferred settings. This seems to be an issue across devices and OS versions because you’ve been getting this feedback for years. PLEASE FIX THIS.

So underrated!

I’ve tried multiple apps of similar nature but nothing comes close to the choice and variety you have with this app… FOR FREE

Having these kind of quality sounds with this amount of choice would cost you money with other apps. I’ve even seen ones that you have to pay for each individual sound.

Thanks to the team for creating this

Confused - but resolved

The FAQs say there is a one time purchase option but can’t find it anywhere.
Regretted sending this immediately as I use and love the website and regretted it more so when the dev replied as below.
Worked out how to edit app reviews since mynoise is worth battling tech for. Apologies to the dev for letting my tech bewilderment speak out.

Response from developer

Hello! Thanks a lot for this new review ! I understand the initial confusion but sadly we can't resolve it as quickly as we'd like: our main iOS developer is out of work so we can't release an update to the current version. We have hired a new developer to develop a brand new 'V3' but this is taking time. Android is scheduled for release in October, iOS in February 2024. I'd love to hear from you when this new application is available. If you wish, you can write to me to beta-test it (my email address is below). I leave under here part of my previous message for anyone else who would wonder about the current business model. Best Regards, Rémy - - - - - - We are currently conducting a test: the subscription to the app is not a classic subscription: you can stop paying whenever you want and still enjoy your lifetime privilege. The goal was to allow everyone to donate what they considered the fair price, according to their own wealth. Getting access to all the soundscapes has never been as cheap as today: you can pay for one month and stop paying directly. We probably haven't been clear enough because many users think it's a "classic subscription"... We'll therefore revert this and go back to a classic 25$ "one time purchase" in the next months when we release a major overhaul of the app. I hope you understand better, otherwise you can contact remy@mynoise.net

SONIC TONIC

For those of us into the power of sound and its “ healing abilities”, this app is priceless. Excellent quality. Highly recommended.

Thanks a lot for your review! You can count on us to keep up with the work! Rémy

Been using this for years!

Donating once and forever having access to all these sounds is totally worth it. It’s amazing how often they keep adding more sounds and I love being able to control the levels whenever I want. Some nights I get overstimulated and want less high noises, I love being able to control that instead of listening to some random white noise generator that always sounds the same and I can’t change. I also love that when you download the sounds you can use them without wifi. I’ve had mr share of traveling and being without good signal but still able to sleep soundly with my background noise on the go. It’s also good for reading, writing, and meditating. I recommend this app to people all the time, it’s the best.
