Disappointment again

Problems getting touch thru ‘support’ closed old app went to reinstall app open in App Store can’t get to downloads to phone. Looks like will need to ‘open’ thru App Store 🤷‍♀️😡

Lacking some basic functionality that Xero has

I’ve switched to MYOB from Xero, for my business accounting. I primarily use the app to capture business expenses (receipts) on the go. Some big downsides to the MYOB app that Xero does no problem (which is making me change my accounting software back to Xero) are:
1. Can only upload images, not files. This is a problem because the “email receipts” function frequently fails, and you have to save supplier invoice attachments as files to upload. You can’t upload these via the app, you have to wait till you’re back at your computer. Very inefficient, and things therefore get missed.
2. You can’t view uploaded receipts in the app. Which means
A) you can’t check whether you’ve already uploaded a receipt; and
B) you can’t check and change if necessary the matched fields
This inability to view uploads then leads to the really big issue:
3. MYOB does not recognise and reject duplicate receipts. Therefore you end up with duplicate expense uploads.
Overall this app is a really inferior product, and actually affects the bigger decision of which accounting software to use

Waiting time for support for myob help and support

Edit: close to 2 hours now and still on hold. Don’t know how many more hours I will have to wait to speak to someone. Ridiculous waiting time and no callback option.

About time myob caught up with the modern world. It’s the best thing myob has released in a long time. One issue to be resolved, which is the requirement to sign in every time. A PIN code would fix this issue.

Would be great if it worked

We had it working and now it doesn’t even bring us to a login in page. I seen there was an issue online but when is it getting fixed?
I normally use this app daily.

Sales orders

Like that it’s just 1 app now instead of 2 for capturing receipts and invoices but would really love if you can add sales orders to the app

Have to log on every time

Having to constantly log in each time is a pain when all you want to do is quickly take a photo of your receipt.

Painful

Only need app for capturing receipts & this app takes too long to log on to capture receipts on the go.
The old capture app was so quick & easy, now I end up with a pile of paper receipts.
Should have kept the old app for people that only need to capture receipts, big step backwards

Constantly logging in

I only use the app for the capture feature. While this app is perfectly adequate for that, the app always logs you out so you have to re-enter your email and password.
I have biometrics set up but having to then re-login and get the emailed two-factor verification code is a pain.
I know the developers have a 'security first' focus but this is overkill. The website is the same.
This program is to track my finances not to actually hold my money...painful overkill.

Old app was better

The old app was so much easier. Just take the picture & it was saved into your photos album. This app can’t even take the picture in colour
, let alone save it to your album

Takes too long!!

New app is terrible. It takes way too long to be able to capture a receipt compared to the old one.

I don’t want to log in every time to use this app. Will use the old app until the day it dies.

No faster

AI capture is no faster than the old capture app. Supposed to capture on the fly but couldn’t cause MYOB logged me out for unknown reason so I missed the capture. Forgot to log in and I was still logged out. People waiting at the fuel bowser. Missed that capture. It’s not really any good if you have to keep logging in. I have face recognition active and it still logged me out

Thanks for sharing this }-{ippy. Capturing a receipt in the moment needs to happen fast and the security of your data is just as important. To balance this out, the app logs out after 30 minutes of inactivity, while still being designed to let you get back in quickly. If your device supports biometric login, tap ‘more' (bottom right) then select ‘enable biometrics’ under Account Settings. Thanks ^MYOB

Cuts my second job admin in half

Ability to capture receipts before I lose them is so handy and lets me invoice when I’m on my commute to and from work. More functionality in the app would be great.

Easy invoicing and expense capture

Love how I can send invoices and log expenses on the go. Invoicing on site is super easy and feels way smoother than my old app. Reliable too, worked when I needed it!
