No app update
I checked today after years of being frustrated with this app being on its own private wifi to see if it can now join your homes wifi network, but apparently no effort has been made as of today to update this app so it could actually be used effortlessly from your phone 😡😡

I was hoping that the WiFi connectivity would allow me to control the unit remotely. This is not the case!!! The unit has its own WiFi network, that you can connect to, so when you are in range, can control it. If I am in its WiFi range, it is easier to walk to it and press a button, than to look for the network and do it on my phone. I am very disappointed.

This will not work with any smart home device
It says Wi-Fi but really it is not. Do you have to connect directly to the transformer to control it. This means you can’t use Google home, Alexa, Apple home, etc. really false advertising.
Garbage
Once connected to default WiFi, you can not change it to your home WiFi. It’s has been a while since I’ve seen such a crappy app.
Works OK
Yes the app does use its own wi-fi which does require you log onto the Paradise wi-fi each time you want to change a setting. I found it a minor inconvenience. My iPhone remembers the Paradise wi-fi so it is easy to log back on to change any settings. Much quicker than trying to do it manually.
Virtually useless
It doesn’t do anything, and they don’t seem interested in making any upgrades.

Asks for connection to “smatphone”.....these days we call it “sMartphone”.

Not worth using the app. Once you connect the unit to your Wi-Fi it switches over to the unit Wi-Fi. You have to be on My Paradise WiFi to run it. It bumps you off your home Wi-Fi and then your internet runs slow and hardly any signal bars. This should hook up to home internet and run like every app does. Huge disappointment.

Could be a good app but it’s not.
Works one time out of 10, even though the paradise WiFi is connected to your phone, the app won’t sync with its own the WiFi.

You have to ditch your home wifi , connect to this buggy app, which only works 5 feet from the unit. Terrible

The app has been crashing and won’t launch
Not too functional
2 issues I have. One is this unit does not connect to wifi so you have to be on the units wifi signal which means you cannot be on you own wifi. They should have had a Bluetooth solution. Two is that the range is short. They say 50' but that is a perfect scenario with straight shot and no wall. I go into my living room about 25 ' and it drops. The user interface is very good though.
