Should be add free
Response from developer
I get where you’re coming from—on the surface it looks like a simple client, and yeah, tools like OpenSSH are free. But the price isn’t really about just the underlying library, it’s about everything around it: ongoing development, maintenance, updates, testing across devices, security hardening, and just keeping the app reliable over time (15 yrs and counting). $12 as a one-time purchase (not a subscription) is honestly on the low end for a tool that’s meant to be used repeatedly. A lot of apps have moved to recurring pricing, so keeping it a single upfront cost is a deliberate choice to avoid that. It’s about the price of a mediocre salad or 3 gallons of gas here in the USA. Many digital pets and crops have been purchased for far far more. In an ideal world, sure—software would just be free. But in reality, there are real costs behind even “simple” apps, and those have to be covered somehow. The alternative is usually ads or subscriptions, and neither is great either, as you’ve pointed out. That said, the ad experience shouldn’t get in the way of basic usability—that’s fair feedback and worth improving. Full page ads should have a close box although not terribly prominent.

The issue has been fixed in the latest release. In the future, there's a feedback form in the app which is a faster way to communicate any problems.
