Getting Incredibly Fed Up
I’m about a day away from deleting this app entirely. I’ve spent probably $30+ on this app, and it was the biggest waste of my life. Not only do the developers lie straight to your face when bringing up concerns with the way coins function in this game (entirely useless, I have now more than $2M coins I can’t USE ON ANYTHING), saying they’re “looking into different uses” for coins, they are have started make updates to make the coins EVEN LESS valuable than they already are (which is, to reiterate, essentially completely valueless). They previously had an event called “Lucky Streak” where you could win rewards from collecting the otherwise useless coins. Now, with the latest update to that event, they’ve done away with rewarding you for collecting the coins, and now you have to complete orders LIKE EVERY OTHER STUPID EVENT. So not only are developers lying to customers to express concerns, they’re actively changing to game to make those concerns even more salient. It’s abhorrent. I’ll likely delete the game for good this week unless the developers want to try to actually give a useful response that is responsive to the concerns every single frequent player has already expressed, and they start making changes to reflect it. This latest change to make the coins even MORE USELESS is just a slap in the face tbh.

Your suggestion to allow coins to be exchanged for other items, store content, or power‑ups will be shared with the team as they review ways to make in‑game currency more useful and rewarding in future updates.

I enjoyed the game quite a bit at first, but I have reached a point where I have not made any forward progress in several days, despite playing several times a day and using all my energy to get this one item. It’s one of the items where the producer only rarely produces what you need to make another producer, which in turn only produces half a dozen low-level items before disappearing. It’s become tedious rather than fun. I assume the developers are trying to get me to spend money, but instead I’m going to delete the game. There are better merge game options out there.

Greedy game
More you spend, more the game gets greedy. After spending some money, the game becomes a black hole that wants to suck your money. The orders become impossible to complete without spending at least 600 energy. So basically you cannot complete an order in a day. What a joke. If you want to spend money on this game, think twice. There’s no turning back.

Fun but coins are useless
I’m really enjoying Mystery Town and have reached level 204. One issue that becomes very apparent in the late game is that coins lose almost all value. I currently have over 2.3 million coins with virtually nothing meaningful to spend them on because upgrade materials—not coins—are the limiting factor. It would make progression much more satisfying if coins could be exchanged for tools, energy, event items, or other scarce resources.
