About
Nadaraka is a weight notebook that keeps one number a week - the average of the days you stepped on the scale.
You don't have to weigh in every day. Every morning while you're watching your weight, or once in a while at a hot spring - both land on the same screen, treated the same way.
This is not a diet app. There is no goal weight, no "to go", no forecast, no streak badge. Your entries stay on your device, and there is no developer server. A one-time purchase, not a subscription.
[This Week] One big number: this week's average. Below it, how many days you stepped on, and "−0.3 from last week". Just the sign and the number - the color never changes when it goes up. Daily values don't appear on this screen. Step on twice in a day and the day's average is used. If you haven't stepped on yet this week, it simply says so.
[Over Time] Weekly averages as dots on one gentle line. Weeks you didn't step on stay blank - no connecting line, no filling in. A stretch you didn't measure is an honest record too. View 12, 26 or 52 weeks, or all time. Add a word to any week ("trip", "cold", "New Year's") - even a blank one.
[Entries] Every entry, by month. Edit or delete any of them. Always all of them, even for free.
[Health] Turn it on in Settings and Nadaraka reads your weight from Apple Health (for example, what your smart scale wrote) into the same weekly average. Read only - it never writes to Health. What it reads stays on this device and is never sent to iCloud. Off by default; it asks for permission only when you turn it on.
[Widgets] Small: this week's average and the change from last week. Medium (Nadaraka Premium): the last 12 weeks as a line. Numbers are hidden while your phone is locked.
[A quiet tool] At most one notification a week: on the last evening of the week, "This week's average: 136.5 lb" - and nothing on a week you didn't step on (off by default). It never tells you to weigh in. No comparison with a goal, no comparison with anyone else. Looking at the number is up to you.
[Units and weeks] lb or kg. Weeks start on Monday or Sunday. Change either later without breaking anything.
[Pricing] Free: add as many entries as you like. Every entry is kept, and Over Time and the weekly change show the most recent 12 weeks including this one. Viewing, editing and deleting entries, weekly notes, reading from Apple Health, CSV / JSON export, JSON import, the weekly notification and the small widget are free forever.
A one-time Nadaraka Premium purchase brings the weeks before week 13 back into Over Time (26 weeks, 52 weeks, all time), layers last year's same weeks as a faint line, and opens the medium widget and iCloud sync. Your entries are never deleted after week 13. Only the view gets longer. There is no subscription.
[Privacy] No account, no developer server, no ads, no location tracking. Your entries live on this device. Only when you turn on iCloud sync are your typed entries and weekly notes also kept in the private part of your own iCloud account. Entries read from Apple Health are never sent to iCloud. The developer cannot reach any of it.
The daily ups and downs are noise. The gentle line is you.
