Need some updates
I’m writing this in July 2021.
The app works. But very buggy, definitely needs an update.
I got the app along with the wireless unit to be able to control the LeD tubes from a distance. And several if I use more than 4.
If you need to use it for Intensity or colour adjustments, it works decently.
The problem lies in the connections. We used it on a small budget projects and this is what we found.
Sometimes the lights wouldn’t change at the same time or the intensity would be off on some lights if using Sync-Link mode. The app itself has issues with the buttons, even as a touch screen sometimes it doesn’t respond. You can’t touch the LeD effects or it crashes the app and the link to the light, leaving the light in whatever effect you touched.
Sometimes the app would work fine then all of a sudden all of the lights would jump off link and you have to go back to the light, re-address and re-sync.
Not fun when lights are 20FT in the air acting as overhead colour lighting.
So yea, if the NanGuang/Nanlight team could fix these few software bugs, they could have a strong contender of app controllable lights in their hands. But til then … it’s really for last minute low-budget projects.

Plein de bugs !
Dommage, car après achat de la controle box + 12 Pavotubes (30c, 15c, 6cII) + 7 Forzas (500, 300b, 60b, 60) et bien l’application est pleine de bugs, pas stable, pas fiable, usage professionnel impossible. J’espère vraiment que NANGUANG/NANLITE fera au moins l’effort de mettre à jour l’application mobile très rapidement et mettre fin aux bugs, car je compte continuer à acheter 4 Evokes 1200 + 2 Dynos 1200 + 2 Dynos 650 mais j’hésite de continuer à acheter NANLITE/NANLUX ou de passer à ARRI. Une chose est sure, si l’application est mis à jour, les bugs fixés et l’usage en Ipad possible je continuerait longtemps à acheter chez vous et à faire votre promotion mais dans le cas contraire malheureusement je revendrai le matériel acheté et je me tournerai vers ARRI, plus adapté à ce jour au marché professionnel. Il serait vraiment important que vous preniez en compte cet avis, car beaucoup de mes collègues/partenaires et concurrents se font la même réflexion…Bonne journée. Cordialement,

This app is pretty much in some half-baked beta mode. A lot of bugs that should not be present, especially when you have to spend $150 just to connect lights to it. I’m hoping this will be cleared out in the coming months but for some features it better to manually adjust the lights. Currently, this app is a joke, please do better for your customers, we know you can.

Just barely usable
The app in its current state so complex that it can’t do the simple things well. I bought the WiFi module and use it frequently. Though the lights have many great features, you can not control half of them through the app. No FX control. Grouping lights is klunky and unreliable because as soon as you move to a different page, it forgets your setting. You can’t save settings. The lights get 5 stars, the app gets 2 which is generous considering the cost of the module needed to use the app with the lights.
