Serious Revisions Required

I appreciate the opportunity to complete this course, but I cannot recommend it in its current state. It falls well below the standard expected of an educational program that prepares students for driving and state testing. The course is outdated, poorly maintained, and insufficiently reviewed before being assigned to students.
The problems I encountered were numerous and consistent throughout the course. There were frequent spelling, grammar, and proofread errors, along with improper indentations and inconsistent formatting that made the material very unprofessional and equivalent to a sixth grade essay. Many of the videos were outdated, some of which dating to the mid-2000s, and one even ended by directing viewers to MySpace, which immediately made the course feel obsolete. In addition, the information was often inconsistent between lessons, and the wording of passages, questions, and answer choices was frequently unclear or awkwardly written, making it difficult to determine what was actually being asked.
The course also had several technical and usability issues. The timer was inaccurate, pages loaded slowly, completion percentages updated inconsistently, and resources were sometimes difficult to access or just completely unreliable. The interface was confusing and unnecessarily difficult to navigate, especially for first-time users, and the login process was more complicated than it needed to be. Textbook hour tracking was also difficult to locate, and I never actually found it. On top of that, the text-to-speech voice was distracting and unpleasant to use, and the read-aloud feature was available in lessons but removed during quizzes, which created an unnecessary barrier for students who rely on accessibility tools.
From an instructional standpoint, the course was also disappointing. It left students overwhelmed while still failing to adequately prepare them for the state permit test. There was very little instruction on road signs, even though they are a fundamental part of the exam. The material seemed scattered rather than organized in a logical progression, and it did not appear to reflect current state laws and regulations. There was also a surprising lack of practical instruction about operating a vehicle, with the course repeatedly telling students to consult their owner’s manual instead of teaching essential behind-the-wheel concepts, traffic regulations, or real-world decision-making. The sections directed toward parents were also disruptive and interrupted the student’s learning experience; if parental guidance is necessary, it should be provided separately rather than repeatedly inserted into the coursework.
Overall, this course feels neglected rather than intentionally designed. It is difficult to trust educational material that contains so many errors, outdated references, accessibility issues, improper indentations, and organizational problems. Driver education is not an area where students should have to question whether the information is current or accurate.
I strongly encourage the developers to conduct a comprehensive review of the entire course instead of making isolated fixes. The content should be rewritten where necessary, updated to reflect current laws and best practices, professionally proofread, modernized with current media, improved for accessibility, and reorganized into a logical learning progression.
Until substantial revisions are made, I cannot recommend this course. Students deserve a driver education program that is accurate, current, accessible, and genuinely prepares them for both the state exam and safe driving—not one that creates unnecessary confusion and frustration.

Annoying

The worst to deal with. Made me read pages upon pages of stuff purely about what to do when driving a motorcycle. A MOTORCYCLE. I was doing drivers ed for a car. They waste your time talking about outdated things, irrelevant things, and they just word everything in the most confusing way possible. This program isn’t succinct AT ALL and it truly feels like watching a microwave countdown while waiting for the page timer to run out. They’ll give you a 4 minute timer on a page with two paragraphs. They do it to make sure you get your required time, but it’s stupid because you’ll finish reading and be sitting there for the next two minutes just waiting around!! Get literally any other drivers ed program

Fix your app

This app is so stupid. It doesn’t work. I cant press any buttons and its making me loose my mind. If this is something people have to not only pay for but also are required to complete to get their license there’s absolutely no reason there should’ve been this little effort put into making this app. There’s no way for me to complete anything because the buttons are either cut off my screen or just don’t work entirely. Not to mention i am a fast reader and have to wait so long for it to let me go to the next page, not everyone read 5 words per minute.

Won’t load my exam

I took the exam and with I am shown the “view your results” I attempted to click it and felt the feedback via vibration and nothing loaded for like 10 minutes of trying I exited the app and my progress was reset, took the exam again same issue, never using this again. DO NOT BUY THIS COURSE. On a side note the course was sloppily designed with missing spaces, spelling and grammar errors and generally poor user interface.

Drivers Ed

They did me really good helped me out a tone I just don’t get the papers I didn’t understand why I had to do that I feel that was jst a lot of extra things jst to start but overall they did me really good

Disappointed

Everything is timed and paced very slow. I have a faster reader and waiting forever to move on is ridiculous. Hoping to get a refund to try a different app!

App is okay

It could use polishing such as the ability to change quality of the videos on the app.

We made it.

Best app for teaching your teen to drive. My son just received is License thanks to the efficiency of the course. I’m signing my daughter up next. Highly recommend.

Horrible and obviously computer generated

This app is so hard to learn from- it doesn’t complete concepts or rules and the grammar is awful- what even are the discussion questions?! I wish I could go back and time and slap the developer’s mom for smoking crack when she was pregnant

Poor

Not good hard to navigate

So hard to learn

National drivers training does a very inconsistent job of teaching drivers how to drive. Their courses are messy and bounce around to niche driving experiences and they never connect to a solid experience.

If you are a teenager trying to learn how to drive, which is probably most people who have this app - forget it! There are cringy teen videos from 2005 and bad coursework that will stop you from becoming a better driver.

Being serious, there never feels like a goal when training with this app. You’re always reading through 100s of pages of content to no end. Most other apps like Aceable (10/10 would recommend) use engaging learning with different training models to change the pace and make content easier to absorb for a new driver. This is something that this app lacks, and they made up for it - with a 1 star review from me.

So I advise new drivers (or anyone who doesn’t want to die before reading all of chapter 1) to choose a different app. NDT is unclear, takes forever to read, includes outdated content, and never feels like it has a goal for students to achieve.

Overwhelming

The app is setup in such a way that’s it’s overwhelming. We didn’t end up completing it and used a different program instead. Waste of money.

Buggy

The app keeps freezing and I can’t access the lessons while I’m in the go. Boo.

Constantly freezing

We tried 2 phones, a laptop, and an iPad. Connected to our home internet or not the program gets through 2 pages and freezes. The company won’t respond to emails. I’ve had to call. Infuriating

Drive log

Confusing

Absolutely worthless

It takes way too long to load even on full bars and only has dumbed down braindead videos.
