Another Bad Mapping App

Natural Atlas says that it has very detailed maps. So, I look at the area I live in, Las Vegas, and the detail is about the most pathetic I’ve seen on any mapping app. I can’t imagine using a GPS app where the detail is almost nonexistent. Definitely won’t be using and definitely won’t be paying for it.

Difficult to use, no international trails. No response from customer service. Don’t try free trial.

Very difficult to use, no response from customer service…….

Not transparent about cost

The description of the app makes no mention of cost. I downloaded it and then found out the price. I decided I decided I didn’t want to pay it, so I immediately deleted it. I hope that I don’t get charged.

Amazing app!

Love this app! Use it all the time to track hikes, find hikes, take pictures, document, and explore! This app needs to be used more!

Do yourself the favor of downloading this

Unbelievable amounts of information. This is EXACTLY what I’ve always wanted for trail and park info. Incredible effort was put forth by people who clearly love the outdoors. Outstanding work!

Great app, but US ONLY

most features are unavailable in canada

Only for USA

Only basic features for AU and NZ

All they want is money!

They won’t allow you to see anything without paying upfront! There’s too many other apps with way more free info!

Used to love it

I used to love this app but all the updates force you to pay. Before you would be able to download a couple blocks for free but not anymore. Truly disappointing

Frustrating to figure out

I’ve searched and searched on how to use a friend’s map route when recording. I cannot figure this out. All Trails is very easy to follow a friend’s route. Any help appreciated

Beautiful maps

Still beautiful maps and overall improved experience since the team has re-engaged in updates. Suggestions for improvements would be to add blue lines for backcountry streams and creeks that are obscured by topography in the Satellite Imagery, and also more utilizing comprehensive public land sources.

Incredible

Such thoughtful UI and UX and beautiful detailed maps! I love the public private land layer!!

👍👍

Please add family sharing to subscriptions 🖖🏼

Doesn’t Have Canadian Data

The app and the features are fantastic…. If you’re within the US.

I would seriously consider purchasing a subscription if the features available in the US were also available for Canada .

Not for iPad

Will not reposition on iPad for landscape.

Super useful, why no one finger zooming?

Love the app. Usually I use COTREX, but I’m not always in Colorado! One issue I run into though is you can’t do the trick where you tap and then tap and slide your finger to zoom. Without this feature, one handed navigation is difficult. COTREX and every other map app I’ve used allows this!

One of the best trail mapping apps out there

Natural Atlas is frankly one of the best apps for trail exploration, discovery, and navigation. It contains tons of information often only found in specialized sources, such as primitive campsites in the Adirondacks and local trails only targeted mapping organizations have covered. It’s interface and design is very comfortable, offline and map printing capability, and I’m all for supporting a small family team of outdoor enthusiasts / developers making a tool like this for everyone.

Documentation

Where can I find documentation for Natural Atlas?
I’d like to read about it, instead of having to stumble around the screen. I think I’m going to like it; reading about it , could cut the learning curve to hours not days. Thanks

Really good!

I’ve been using All Trails for quite a while. Natural Atlas has features that All Trails does not. In some ways Natural Atlas is so much better!!

Incomplete offline features for Australia

I purchased a year subscription and the offline map/gps features are in complete. Hopefully fixed soon.
