Frustrating experience
The app is great for navigating and finding your way around public transportation, BUT if you’re a foreigner creating an account outside of Korea, the app is really frustrating! I spent hours saving locations for my trip, and suddenly my account was locked. So I uploaded my ID and other documents to get it unlocked, just as the help page said, but they couldn’t do anything. I then opened a new account and had it verified right away so that something like this wouldn’t happen again. I entered all the locations there as well. Just a short time later, the account was suspended again, and this time, too, I only got the response that they couldn’t do anything. Without a Korean phone number, I can’t reactivate the account myself either. There are lots of people on Reddit who’ve shared similar experiences. How can this be? I’m now switching to a different app to plan my vacation, because I’m not going to create a new account a third time.

Needs Work
Didn’t tell me what places were closed, only had open. Wanted to go to pharmacy and alarm or some thing like that was triggered bc i didn’t know it was closed bc map didn’t tell me

This app takes all day long to load. The developers need to take out the trash and put it on a diet.

Awful
This app is constantly crashing and once a month it gets rid of all my bookmarks and I need to delete the app and redownload it. Truly awful but I’ve amassed so many bookmarks that I can’t switch apps now. This app still blows chunks. 0 out of 5.
This App STINKS.
This app just flat out stinks. It always takes years to load and the UI just isn’t good. As a Korean, the Korean DID NOT cook with this one at all. Doing way too much with this one, just allow apple and Google Maps to work. One of the only good parts about leaving Korea is deleting this terrible and sorry excuse for an app.

Horrible. Stay away
Only using this since Google Maps isn’t really the map in Korea. This app is horrible and even shows ads when loading up. I guess you have to use this in Korea? But this app is horrible and not anyone’s first choice

doesn’t always work
super glitchy. will tell you to get off at the WRONG STATION. doesn’t always keep moving as you’re using transportations. please fix this wack app
このアプリナビ機能駄目
google mapが韓国では歩きの案内が出来ないとの事でYouTubeでやたらと進めているので信頼して入れた
3泊4日韓国滞在
明洞でお店検索して歩きで向かったが歩いている場所の追従が全くついて来ない
あげくにお店周辺に着いたがお店が見当たらなく諦めた
地下鉄も同様に位置情報の追従が悪くて表示が2駅ずれていて慌てて降りた
地下街は全く使えない
唯一バス停番号と乗るバス番号が分かるのでその点だけ助かった
道案内にずれていてもリルートしてくれないのでただ単に案内ルート目指して自分で散策しないといけない
このアプリの為に散々な目にあい貴重な旅行時間を駄目にされた
google mapの方が位置情報は正確に出るので案内は出来ないが地図を確認しながら歩く方向を見た方が良いのではと個人的に思った
YouTubeでやたらと必須アプリとか言うけど案件なんじゃね？
歩き回ってクタクタの韓国旅行になってしまった。
行きたかった予定の観光地も行く時間がなくなり全く楽しめず最悪の旅行になってしまった。

Kakao Maps let me create an account.
Can’t wait for Google to properly compete with Naver, not a huge fan of them, but almost anything is better than Naver.

App mit Verbesserungspotenzial
[-] Aktuell eine der wenigen Apps in Korea welche für die Navigation zu Fuß oder per Auto überhaupt möglich sind. Die Übersetzungen sind leider weit entfernt von einer vollständigen und auch die Suche mit englischer oder deutscher Sprache ist bei weitem nicht so effektiv wie gleich in koreanisch zu suchen. Das ist auch eigentlich der größte Kritikpunkt an der App.
[+] Positiv hervorheben kann man das intuitive UI. Es sieht modern aus und beinhaltet teils echt tolle Funktionen. In größeren Städten ist Naver Maps sogar an die Ampeln gekoppelt und zeigt an wann diese wieder grün schalten. Auch Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzungen inklusive Kameras werden vorzeitig angezeigt. An den meisten Abzweigungen wird eine etwas detailliertere Darstellung angezeigt was es deutlich erleichtert den richtigen Weg einzuschlagen.
Ich würde weiter bei Naver Maps bleiben solange andere Alternativen wie Google Maps (kommt wohl bald auch für Auto/ Laufen) und Apple Maps so gut wie keine Adressen und Orte gespeichert haben. Ansonsten entgehen einem zu viele mögliche Zielorte.

Bad now.
It was good but updates have ruined it and now it’s slow with heaps of adverts. Can’t even see stars for reviews easily.
Can’t log in
I’ve created three accounts in three different ways and cannot log into my accounts. I wanted to use the app to save my places.

I don’t know why Google nor Apple Maps work well or at all in South Korea, maybe a licensing or privacy issue, luckily I read about and downloaded NAVER and found it to be very good, clear and detailed instructions, especially when riding the subway or just walking (I did not drive so can’t say about that mode). It froze a couple of times on me but overall it worked fast and responsive.

Not helpful for English-speaking tourists
Lots of addresses are unavailable and can’t be found, not easy to use or understand for English speakers. Not using this one and instead trying the KakaoMap app. Hope it’s better. This one isn’t good for English speaking tourists.
So so slow and not responsive
I’m using an iPhone 15 Pro Max. This app is somewhat essential for navigating around Korea, but it’s been so slow on my phone.
Major Failure
App is bloated beyond belief. Imagine if Google Maps tried to also be Amazon and Facebook. Directions omit subway stops in Korea, miscalculating time and coordination. Misspellings everywhere, making a search for things frequently fail.
점점 불편하게 만들어요...ㅠ
지하철 노선도 너무 잘 쓰고 있었는데 이제 어디로 들어가야 쓸 수 있는지...뭐 메뉴 고르는 곳을 한 번에 찾을 수가 없으니까 이용이 너무 불편하네요... 저번에 개편된 이후로 적응햇는데 또 ㅠㅠ 못 쓰겟습니다
