What's New in Navidrome Player

1.6

October 21, 2026

Unlimited listening is free. The daily limit is gone: stream your whole library, with CarPlay. • Synced lyrics on the player, from your server or LRCLIB. • Smart playlists: rules over your library, kept downloaded automatically, in CarPlay too. • A ten-band equalizer with presets and AutoEq headphone profiles. • Mix transitions: beat-aligned blends from one song into the next. • Chromecast: play on your TV or speaker. • Stars, ratings and playlist edits made offline sync back once you are online. • The Apple Watch works as a remote for the phone. • Playback settings have a Transitions section, with Mix beside Crossfade. • Fixes: a crash on return from the background, a crash on Next while casting, CarPlay covers and scrubbing.

User reviews

Why pay

Why should I pay to listen my music on my server

Response from developer

You shouldn't, and since 1.6 you don't: listening to your whole library is free, no daily limit. Pro is for things beyond streaming, like offline downloads and the standalone Watch app.

Best looking, great support

The design is nice and support is very responsive and helpful. Can only recommend!

Misleading. Paid app.

Free version is only 10 songs a day.

Response from developer

As of 1.6 streaming is unlimited and free, with CarPlay; Pro only covers offline downloads, discovery, the Watch app and a few extras. If you give it another try and something is off, write to support@subsonify.app

The best

Just the best app to use for own music server I love it

Works great with CarPlay

This app works really well with Navidrome. We built a pretty neat architecture using Docker and Tailscale on the backend/networking side, and this app nails the frontend user experience. It was so refreshing to buy a lifetime subscription for an app that actually delivers. the UX is genuinely good.
Just as refreshing: they actually respect user data privacy. No predatory data harvesting like most major apps. A rare and welcome approach these days. The team can surely improve even more, but this version is great as is. The radio feature really brought me back in time, too. Once properly set up, it works like a charm. And it plays nicely over CarPlay, which makes it perfect in the car.
Great job, team!
