Useless now

They took everything away from us! Now you can’t even use it unless you pay for a subscription! I had so many spots saved in this app and now I can’t even see them any more. Y’all are such a greedy company!

Pathetically Overpriced, better options out there

I used this app for years. Used to be reasonably priced. Apparently Garmin bought them and now wants $49/yr to be able to do anything, even to see the most basic maps. I’m uninstalling and moving to another app.

Terrible

Used to be a great app. Just went to use it and app is stuck in a never ending trial/subscription loop. Sad a company like Garmin can’t get this right.

Need to login

As a seafarer this app was amazing until you're now forced to create an account and login to use it and access your charts and routes ect..

great app

this app is definitely worth i. gets me through the channel and is pretty simple to use

Huge battery drain + crashes

Will randomly crash, and you’ll lose your recording. It’ll silently pause recording in the background. It’ll run in the background even when not recording and drain your battery without you realizing until you touch your phone and it’s hot, cause of this awful app. I’ve switch to Savvy Navvy just to feel a I can breathe again. Wish I could get my money back. 2 stars cause I assume the charts are actually up to date and when it does work, it’s meh as a backup to an actual chart plotter

App not working

Not working. Want refund

Scam app

Constantly asks to sell your data. Forces you to create an account BEFORE it forces you to pay a subscription.

Overrated and overpriced

Ah yes, because on a boat all you ever need is exactly two devices… and electronics never fail, batteries never die, and nobody ever sails with another person at the helm. Since Garmin took over, the price has soared while the flexibility has sunk. Time to chart a new course with a different app. 🌊⛵

3 wishing 4 more

To be honest, I love this app. Would I give it more than 3 stars? No. I use it a lot and it has some problems. Yes, could partly be my cell phone- regarding tracking. However, it’d be nice if they would dial things in the slow speed accuracy (drifting) realm.
I tend to have to restart the app to get it to update location when Im drifting. Seems to lock up when I stop motoring to drift And, it doesn’t point to the direction Im drifting. Constantly bounces the arrow around. On the ocean, it’s not always easy to determine where you’re drifting.
That being said, Im not giving the app up. However, it’s 2026. Somebody’s gonna bring things to the market. Ill stay here if they don’t get beat.

Average since updates - unusable

Really good until recent updates. Don’t waste money

I don’t do Garmin

Always been a huge fan of Navionics, but I refuse to spend money on Garmin which is not a real marine brand. Switched to Orca and always used Raymarine instruments and now with Lighthouse gen 2 charts.

Horrible controls and menus

I am on a seven day trial and nothing is user friendly, the control are nothing like my Garmin unit on my boat. It’s says it has fishing charts but has nothing at all.

Follow up…
On a 7 day trial all features should be included or a least a quick and easy way to activate them. However, that is not there.
Because Chart Plotters are a complicated you you need a thirty day trail, that would give your perspective clients a fair amount of time to look thru it!

Overpriced for the exact same features as before

Been a navionics subscriber for years, back when it was $24.99 a year. It had all of the same features as it does today. I don’t understand the price increase, especially when there’s also the Garmin Active Captain that also does the same thing except worse. I guess I’m going old school because I’m not paying $50 a year for mid mapping software.

Very complicated to renew app

Does allow me to renew. When I am trying to create an account doesn’t allow me… very frustrating

Downhill since Garmin took over

I have Navionics charts in my boat chart plotter and have always backed up the system with Navionics charts on my iPhone. They used to be free, but since Garmin took over, they are now charging some $40 or so per year. Not worth it when there are plenty of good free charting apps available.

Can’t access charts even though I have a valid subscription

I purchased Navionics last week as a subscription through the App Store. I log in, and immediately it asks me to subscribe. I follow the link, choosing the correct chart for where I am in the uk, and a pop up says I am already subscribed. So I click Ok, the chart appears, then immediately the subscribe window appears and I can’t access the charts, or settings, or anything. This endless loop has been going on for days, and support has now fallen silent. I’ve tried multiple reinstalls, phone off and on, checked my login is the same as the account email, and it just doesn’t work. So next step is getting a refund since Navionics are unable to help me and provide a simple working app that recognises a subscription. It has to be an app issue when different steps say I’m not subscribed, then I am, then I’m not. So 1 star it is, since I can’t even see the charts I’ve paid for.

Awful. Ready to sue

Failed and put me at risk during a time of critical need. I happily used Navionics for many years as a secondary backup to my chartplotter. Yesterday I suffered engine failure at sea and when I brought up this app for help navigating a very challenging channel under light winds and no power, it kept cycling through a request to renew despite my subscription being active.

Horrible purchase

I subscribe to a set of charts, they won’t download or show - it starts prompting me to select coverage “It’s time to explore charts and features” - “choose your coverage” so I do … again!! Then it prompts me with “your already subscribed” and the loop goes on and on and on

App is broken

I’ve confirmed my subscription but the maps will not download and just keeps asking to subscribe in a loop over and over. Deleting and reinstalling does nothing. Waste of $50. Do not purchase.
