Auto ads and late with news
The title says it all. Every article I click on starts with an ad that you have to press “x” to get out of. The layout is also strange. I shouldn’t have to scroll past several old articles to find newer ones. Also, this news is late by hours and days and sometimes doesn’t even mention important current events, while at the same time keeping old news up for weeks. Overall, I’m disappointed and will probably be deleting.

Every time I open this app it tries to read the contents of the paste buffer. This is an evil, dark pattern. If they are using one, they are probably using more.
The simplest thing this app could is know the link for a given story but the shared links are bad.

Normally I like this app but recently it’s saying there are 1557 notifications, I try to clear them and there is nothing to acknowledge m. So I deleted the app and not downloading until you fix it.

Noticed no recent reviews but lately I am getting hundreds (500+)notifications daily. What’s up with that? It’s really annoying
Annoying mandatory pop-up ad
The recent app update now forces you to watch or close the every time I open the app, that’s really annoying and I switched to ABC7 News app instead.
Disfunctional
Since the update the live news feed no longer works. The icon appears on the screen, but it doesn't respond.
I have watched the Bay Area news for years, when I lived in Washington state and from the Midwest. Now I can no longer keep up with the SF news.

live news feed not working
just updated the app and the live news video doesn’t work. hopefully it’ll be fixed - I put it in every morning before I leave for work!
No News is Good News
Just deleted this app because it’s not refreshed with news happening across the Bay Area. No way that only a beached whale, homelessness, and the atrump trial are all that happened in the Bay Area from Friday evening through Monday morning. Don’t be afraid to report the crimes, as we will still shop, buy homes, and dine in the Bay Area. Just be honest.

Slow and clunky
The app is just slow all the time. All the ads will load quickly, but the news text itself will take forever to load.

It’s ok, but searching is prohibitively difficult- a search for “togo cocktail bill” couldn’t find a story called “to-go cocktails will stick around” also the livestream looks for wifi unsuccessfully even though the rest of the app is functioning on lte/5g, but worst of all the app shuts off if I navigate away and loses where I was. Whoever idea THAT was is just adding to perception that all media companies are eyeball greedy to the exclusion of any concern for user experience. What could be a help is just another “improvement” that screws the loyal viewers- NO THANKS

Apple TV no longer supported
The app will download and install on my Apple TV, but all it does is put up a screen declaring Apple TV is no longer supported.
You can purchase a Roku, or pay for Peacock.

Like most I’m going out of my way to review. Don’t know how and kinda don’t care but the app is very consistent with weather alerts, especially for rain, news alerts and general alerts.

No more Apple TV
I don’t know why they thought of not being compatible with Apple TV! Every morning and evening I always watch my news on there, because of how simple it is to use the app and get my daily information, super sad. I really hope this gets fixed soon. In the meanwhile I’ll see what other app to use to watch it on.

Lacks Apple TV support
This app is nearly perfect on iOS and iPadOS. But the tvOS app always lacked push notifications. And it didn’t support the Up Next row. Support for the app has been dropped on Apple TV. Only way to watch NBC Bay Area content now on Apple TV is via YouTube or the main NBC app.
Hard to remove pop ads from the app
Very hard to remove ads from the app if you accidentally press on them. There is no obvious “x” to close like on other apps.
Night mode please
Are all these news apps white backgrounds because they think they need to simulate a newspaper? KPBS does it best, easy on the eyes.

I have some reason to open this app every day. If not for temps and weather for anywhere, local and national news.
