Best local news app around but man, you guys kill my notifications! I’ll get the same thunderstorm notification for example 20 times in a row. Deleted. Reinstalled. Same thing. Turned off notifications. Turned back on. Same thing. I wish I could upload a screenshot. It’s almost comical at this point.

Crashes when loading
I use the app mostly to check the weather. Unfortunately for the past several weeks I cannot get the app to even load. It just crashes rendering it useless. When it works I like it and would give it more stars
What App?
I tried downloading this app to watch the NYE concert. This thing won’t even download. Haven’t seen a circle spin this long since Windows 8. I guess the last update needs some patching.
Alerts are useless
News alerts that come through as push notifications are completely useless. I click on the alert to read the article but there’s never any article. Sometimes it’s a different story altogether, sometimes it’s an unrelated video.
Change the look
Need new younger reporters. Tracy, BShipp they all gotta go for fresh faces or your station will remain irrelevant
Cannot finish app install
I’m being asked to allow location services for a better forecast but the option to grant never appears. It just stops. No button, no next option. So, I am never able to finish the installation and my only recourse is to delete the app. Nice. It’s 2025 people. Are all the developers asleep?
Story goes blank once you scroll
You can start reading a story, but once you scroll the page goes blank, and you can't finish the story. It looks like it's happening when there is some ad that is supposed to show up. Since I can't see the ad, I don't know if it's after any in-story ad that the page goes blank, or if it's the same ad that creates the mess. I just see a heading that an ad is supposed to display.

Something going on with Alerts
Yesterday the app showed I had over 2k alerts, however there were maybe 20. I cleared them just before midnight. Woke up to 9,700 alerts. I know the news cycle is very busy but not THAT busy.
Stuck on allow location services screen
Downloaded for iPad and it gets stuck in set up on the locations permissions screen. Closed out and came back same thing. Deleted and re-downloaded same thing. On iPhone, the allow location works, but the share article arrow does not.

The newest version of the app is available and I have it. It looks fabulous, and the new features are excellent! Thank you.
Not responding
The weather icons barely ever load anymore for the hourly. Now when I get into the app it freezes. This used to be my favorite app but now I can’t even use it. Frustrated.

the worst app I’ve ever had on my phone. Every time you open the app, it won’t open fully. You have to do it three times to get it to open. Scrolling gets stuck every single time I use it. It glitches and freezes worse than a computer from 1988
Why is sharing still broken?
I do not understand the response from the developers about the broken sharing tool. “Our app is free to use so link recipients can just download the app” is not helpful or inclusive. I want to share stories from the app. Say I want to email a story to a group of people and I send the link. Well, not everyone who reads the email is reading it on a mobile device or even has a mobile device. They get this stupid “app.link” that tries to force them to download the app instead of taking them to the story and it just wastes everyone’s time - mine having sent something they cannot read and theirs trying to figure out how to find the story without the app. There are also people who do not have admin permission to install apps on their devices but want to be able to receive shared nbc news. I mean this is not complicated. Just let users share the actual url of the story like you used to. I am tired of having to exit the app and google the headline and find it on your website and then share it from there. It’s just a very bad user experience. Do better, people.

Crashing on iPhone 12
I never used to have this issue, but the app continues crashing on the iPhone 12 on the weather tab. I always used this app and this ever happened to me. Someone please fix!
Trash app
It was bad in the first place but they just changed the app so that video ads automatically play before reading every article. I’ve ignored the garbage editing quality for years because it’s still local news, but it’s bad enough that I finally had to delete the app.
