Locked out by phone

This stupid app locked out my phone. I couldn’t do a normal button reset. Lucky it wasn’t an emergency. I needed so do a hard reset to get control back

Froze my Iphone 17

While I think this app is great to find AEDs around your area (watched demo in my ACLS/BLS) class), I wasn't able to open the app at all because it gets stuck on notifications. The app doesn't open other than the notifications window. At that point, Im not able to do ANYTHING with my phone other than force restart it (if anyone has the same issue for Iphone 17, it's push volume up one sec then down one sec and then push and hold the right side button until Apple screen appears/screen is black).

Why on earth do you need a login to see AED details? “Hang on keep compressions going while I click forgot password”

App did not work

App did not work after download. Look elsewhere.

LOVE IT

Wish my cities would get to using PulsePoint and PulsePoint AED. It’s gonna be fun adding AED’s myself though as I find them (pretty sure I’m the only one to use this app in both cities but this would be beneficial even if so).

FAQ

What does the PulsePoint AED app do?

The PulsePoint AED app is used to build and manage the National Emergency AED Registry (NEAR). It allows users to submit the location of unregistered AEDs in their community, making them accessible to emergency call takers and disclosed to nearby individuals during cardiac arrest events.

What kind of AEDs can be registered?

You can register any AED that is available in public places such as offices, airports, schools, and businesses. The app also allows for the recording of other lifesaving resources found at AED locations, including Bleeding Control Kits, Naloxone, and Epinephrine.

Is there a cost to use the PulsePoint AED app or registry?

No, there is never a charge to use or add to the registry. PulsePoint is a public 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation dedicated to improving cardiac arrest survival.

Who is the companion app, PulsePoint Respond, for?

The companion app, PulsePoint Respond, is for individuals who are trained in CPR and willing to assist during a nearby cardiac emergency. It is separate from the PulsePoint AED app, which focuses on registering and managing AED locations.

How does this app help in a cardiac emergency?

By registering AEDs and other emergency resources, the app ensures that emergency call takers and nearby individuals can quickly locate these lifesaving devices when a cardiac arrest event occurs. This integration with emergency dispatch systems helps to reduce response times and improve survival rates.
