App not working for a week now

Have so many issues with the app. App logged me out randomly and now I can’t get logged in. Every time I put in my password the app just reloads. I pay for the subscription so this is quite frustrating.

Must have for parents

I don’t usually review but this app is so good. Even the free version is worth it. Tho I don’t mind paying for a subscription worth every penny. Kid looks forward to chores now I can’t believe it lol.

What happened?

Had this app about 2 years now & as of today, it’s no longer working. Tried to email support, but the email did not go thru.

Great but please fix

This app has been great! My kids are motivated to do chores and it keeps us organized. However, three days into using it all of my children’s tasks and rewards have disappeared. This app needs bug fixes!!! Please fix it cause we love it when it works!

Response from developer

We’re really sorry for this — that definitely shouldn’t happen. 🙏 Thank you for your kind words and support 💛 Everything should be working now — we’ve fixed the issue. If you’re still experiencing any problems, please contact us at support@neatkid.io, and we’ll be happy to help 😊

SIGNED OUT

I would have done 5 stars but today, the app completely logged my son out as well as myself. All of our task and rewards are gone. I try to log back in but it’s not working.

Easy & Rewarding

My son and i have been loving tracking his tasks and rewards through this app. He loves the ability to check off and keep track of his points and he’s been driven to get more and more done to earn his rewards! I love how driven he is and the ease in which i can set up custom rewards. The only thing i would change is being able to set the tasks for certain days or every couple days that dont need done daily. Otherwise would recommend!

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! 💛 We’re really happy to hear that your son is motivated and enjoying tracking his tasks and rewards — that’s exactly what we aim for 😊 Great news — you can already set tasks for specific days (like certain weekdays) when creating or editing a task. We’ll also take your idea about more flexible scheduling into account for future updates. If you have any questions or ideas, feel free to reach us at support@neatkid.io 💛

Really like it

My kids really enjoy this app over a regular paper chore chart. Much more fun to click off the chores and see the points add up immediately. I would like to see repeat rewards options for rewards that are repeated. And I do think the price seems high for the app. I wanted to get one of the organizer tablet but didn’t want more stuff. The app is a good compromise but the annual price makes me think I should eventually just get one since it evens out without a continuous fee.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! 💛 We’re really happy to hear your kids enjoy using the app and that it’s more engaging than a paper chart 😊 Great news — rewards can already be set as recurring (daily or weekly), so you don’t need to recreate them each time. We’ll also take your feedback about pricing into account — we understand it’s an important factor. If you have more ideas or questions, feel free to reach us at support@neatkid.io 💛

Can’t even try it

The app won’t let me get past the login screen. I log in, it pops up the next screen, and then immediately cycles back to the login screen. I’ve tried numerous times.

Didn’t even load

I was looking at few different apps and this one seemed really great, however I never got a chance to find out because it kept glitching and I couldn’t even create a profile for my child. Every time I clicked done, it wouldn’t even load or move forward. What a shame. Definitely needs some technical assistance

Love love love

Fantastic I’m worth buying the years subscription

Like it but….

I’m using this for my 14 year old who has ADHD and gets easily distracted. I tested 7 other chore checklist apps and even though this one is more “babyish looking “ it’s easy to navigate a straight to the point . Some suggestions-1.having a calendar to see the whole month and future dates like it shows on the feature pictures for the app. 2. Having a completed section or crossed out for completed tasks / parental lock once the child marks a task as completed. Once tasks are completed parent could then uncheck if tacks weren’t completed and send reminder notification to child’s device 3. Having notifications to parent phone once a child completes each or all tasks similar to when the child receives notifications when a parent creates new task. There is an option of a daily reminder but it can only be set to 1 time. My child have morning and evening chores so the 1 reminder doesn’t help

Perfect solution

We’ve been looking for a simple solution for tracking chores.

This has been working great for us. Have it setup on a tablet the kids have access to.

Kids can easily switch between accounts and track their chores.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for the great review! 💛 We’re really glad NeatKid has been a perfect solution for your family and that it works well on a shared tablet for the kids. It’s wonderful to hear they can easily switch accounts and track their chores on their own 😊 If you ever have ideas or feedback, feel free to reach us at support@neatkid.io.

THE BEST

This has inspired and taught my children to be excited about doing tasks to completion and to respect the accountability with the pictures function. It’s been incredible! I can’t wait to see the additional features and updates to come along!

Thanks for letting us know, and we’re sorry for the frustration. 💛 Due to current sanctions, App Store purchases may not work properly in Russia, which can cause Premium features (like rewards) to be unavailable even with an active subscription. Please contact us at support@neatkid.io with your account details, and we’ll do our best to look into this and help you.

Great!

The app is great but it made me sign up and pay so I can’t get the app sorry

Good app overall, family is enjoying it, few bugs

I’m enjoying this app so far, and my kids are too. They are old enough to navigate it and understand. It can be a little buggy at times. On my end deleting certain tasks doesn’t necessarily make them go away, it appears to be a bug. If a child doesn’t complete a task it carries over which is a good thought in premise but it creates duplicates, so then you have to delete a duplicate but then you have the delete bug. So that’s a bit frustrating currently. I do agree with others, a better history option to review what’s been completed and points redeemed. But I think the developers are on the right track and I hope they keep at it as I think this has a ton of potential!

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback — we really appreciate it! 💛 Regarding task deletion: • If a task is created for one child, deleting it removes it immediately for that child. • If a task is created as a shared task for several children (Everyone / Anyone / Rotation), deleting it removes it for all of them. In your case, we checked and found both individual tasks and identical shared tasks. So when one was deleted, the second one remained — that’s why it looked like a bug. About tasks carrying over: • The carry-over system works only for Once tasks — they move to the next day until completed. • For Every day or Specific days tasks, there is no carry-over. They appear only according to the set schedule. Example: if a task is set for Mon–Wed–Fri and is not completed on Monday, it will appear again on Wednesday as scheduled. For history: right now you can view part of it in the Star Balance, but we’ll consider improving it in future updates. If you have more suggestions or questions, feel free to contact us at support@neatkid.io — we’re always happy to help! 💛

Bad app don’t buy it

It was hard to use and I could only add one kid and in the description it said it was free and I downloaded it and there’s a subscription fee to add more than one kid

Please make it unlimited kids it really hard and I can’t afford it

Not perfect, but we’ll try to make it work

It establishes a good system, but it could be better in my opinion. One thing I noticed is that kids can mark off tasks themselves. I don’t think that’s ideal. At least provide an option that gives parents the flexibility of allowing kids to mark off their own tasks as completed. Rewards could be better. Once they redeem an award it just disappears. There’s a record of it being redeemed, but again, not an ideal way to track rewards. And it’s annoying that you have to create the rewards again after it’s redeemed. Would be better if it was more of a rewards shop. After your child buys/redeems a reward, that reward goes into his/her inventory. Then when he/she actually uses the reward, it can get removed from the inventory. Similar to how RPG games work. Right now we’re in trial and still exploring the app, but if it doesn’t work out for us, we won’t buy.

Response from developer

Thanks a lot for your thoughtful feedback! 🙏 Kids can indeed mark off tasks themselves — this is intentional, as it helps build independence and responsibility. As for rewards, they can be set up with a recurrence schedule (daily, weekly, etc.). Once redeemed, the reward will automatically reappear on the next cycle — no need to create it from scratch every time. We really appreciate you sharing your ideas and hope this makes the experience smoother for your family. 💛 If you have more suggestions, feel free to reach us at support@neatkid.io. Thanks for trying NeatKid!

Loved it at first

Worked great until I got a new phone and when I logged in from it, my premium account was still there but my kids’ profiles and allll the tasks and rewards we had created and saved were gone. It took a lot of time to set up all the tasks initially, so I’m tempted to just buy a Skylight before I sit down and go through that process all over again; bc also, this obviously will not be the last time I have to get a new device.

Thanks for sharing your experience, and we’re really sorry about the frustration. That shouldn’t happen — kids’ profiles and tasks stay with your account unless they were deleted manually. To help us check, please send your device model, iOS version, and how you signed in to support@neatkid.io. We’ll do our best to recover everything and make sure it won’t be an issue next time you switch devices.
