Terrible privacy settings
BEWARE - app defaults to allowing selling personal data, and makes it extremely difficult to opt out!
Changes going in wrong direction
I only use this app for weather. With the latest update, I can no longer see the 10 day forecast in text format. All I see is a thumbnail to a video style 10 day forecast. Not my preferred method for 2-5+ days out to say the least, I want the details. App has also been unstable (mostly) on my mesh WiFi for well over a year and a half. It opens as it should maybe 4 out if 10 times, but usually just doesn’t load. This has also happened while not using WiFi. I have provided feedback in the app several times, and received replies, but there has never been any positive change in the apps functionality. Time to look to another weather app, this was the last straw for me

Not good anymore
The old version of the weather app used to be great. Now it frequently gets stuck and displays weather that is hours or days old despite having the most recent updates. Time to find a different app.
Great way to keep up to date on what’s happening at my home state
I am using your app to follow the Karen Read murder trial. It’s helpful to be able to watch clips of the trial to catch up on the latest developments.

Good app for weather and headlines
My second review of this helpful weather app. Great to see all of NE and get an idea of weathers roots to come. BUT! Why do you treat dew points and wind chill factors like they are mysteries we cannot understand?? Up them on the site, please!! Humidity is useless!! Change it over to the dew point and wind chill. Thanks.

Love it and hate it
When I can get the app to open I love it. Every time I have to clear browser history before it will open and even then sometimes it spins and spins.

Only opens up about 1/2 the time. What's going on?
Most of the time fails to open. I check wifi connection, close out, try again, nothing. Then, hours later it'll open. No idea why.
Too many commercials
Listen to an ad every new story which is absolutely ridiculous. I open this app would be informative. It was just way too many commercials so I'm deleting it

I like that I can review past the weather videos, sometimes Tania Leal’s aren’t aleays up for some reason, but generally the weather updates are good. However, it says you can watch live news broadcast: cannot access any live broadcast. I am very unhappy about that.

I’m not saying anything that previous reviews haven’t already covered. This used to be an amazing app. The best one for New England. However, updates, and maybe company changes, policies, etc. have rendered this completely useless as far as I’m concerned. We deleted this and now we use Fox 25 which is pretty much the same as the NECN App used to be about 3 years ago.
It’s a total shame that NECN couldn’t respond to their customer’s complaints and concerns and see what a good thing they had.

Going downhill fast…
Use to be ok, but now it frequently hangs, won’t start or simply gives you a nice blank page.
My go to weather app!!
UPDATED June 15th 2022: All issues per my previous ratings have been fixed. The app now loads correctly every time I open the app. Whatever bug that was crashing the app must have been addressed. The feature to add/remove city has been update. You can easily add/delete city’s if you travel frequently as well as easily reorder the cities you prioritize. I travel frequently, surf and ride motorcycles, this is the all I consistently rely on for the most accurate radar imagery and storm tracking. Thanks for continuing to keep your app updated and relevant!!
This is my updated review as of May 2022. Great app, I use it mostly for weather. They have made some useful updates however over the last 4-6 months it continually crashes or won’t open. I have the newest phone/software and have deleted and reinstalled multiple times but can’t get it to work consistently. I love the accuracy of the radar and layer options but unfortunately it’s pretty useless if it won’t open. NECN, Please fix asap. It’s surf and motorcycle season, I need my radar back!!!
