To basic app
Many features missing let down of an otherwise good teleprompter. Remote is hit and miss, scroll speed to fast even on slowest setting, no auto scroll based on speech and when it reaches end of script it won’t stay in that position so you can finish reading also no margins. Goggle docs integration would also be great. There is also no way to choose a document from your iPad. You need to go through their cumbersome website, which is ridiculous

Not good
The teleprompter works perfectly fine. This app? Horrid. The fact that I can’t make edits to the text like bold, underline, etc is such a pain. Also landscape being the default is not conducive to the way most people use their phone. Please improve these things!
Scripts
Please fix the issue where we have to enter the App send the scripts in but have close and re open the app for it to work.

Lots of missing features and clunky interface here for years. It doesn’t seem like anything is being updated
This app and hardware are awesome.
For what it does and its price point for the teleprompter and remote, you can’t go wrong.
However, there are two additional pieces of equipment I suggest you purchase. A Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. This will make typing up or editing your text files much easier.
My iPad sits in a case that has
a stand. So, when I’m putting text in, the iPad is already in landscape mode which is the best way to playback your scripts.

Needs margins
Can’t use the app cuz there’s no margins. The idea is to keep your eyes focused on the center of the camera lens, but because this app shows the lines of text all the way across the iPad screen, your eyes must scan to read words, so the eye balls keep going left to right left to right, instead of focusing on the center of the camera lens.

I’m seeing the other reviews and I don’t know what they’ve changed but it’s been an amazing experience for me using this app. Simple and easy to use 10/10. No problems

Remote Does Not Connect
Was excited to get the Neewer teleprompter and downloaded the teleprompter app but spent a lot of time trying to get the remote working-which is still not working or linking up. Tried to contact support through App Store but it takes you to their sales and no place to lodge complaints or get help-this needs addressing. Very disappointing after purchasing hardware!

Decently built / simple but missing key features
Some vital features this app needs:
- Margins. I can't believe this 'professional' app has the text force displayed across the entire screen meaning your subject's eyes are darting left and right making the final image very unprofessional. Add in the ability to add margins / borders to the edges with a sliding percentage scale so the text can all be kept right in the centre.
- Auto rotate. There shouldn't be some button I have to press, it should be in any section of the app I can just turn the screen to rotate it, not be forced to stay sideways. This is especially annoying when editing text and having to use stupid wide keyboard.
- Speed controls needs a number. Need to have a numerical value associated with the speed control so you can easily get back to a predefined or setup one, rather than just guessing where the slider was on the scale.
- Ability to move the red viewing bar up or down. Important if the camera setup behind the teleprompter is not perfectly aligned to the centre of the tablet or phone.
- Edit text button. Need to just quickly press edit text in the top right without having to highlight a word > edit, or go back out of the script and click edit

it doesn’t work!!!
Works but very buggy
I’ve been using the app for about 6 months since I purchased a Neewer teleprompter. It scrolls but anything past that, there are issues.
- Don’t cmd-z when editing text - it will crash
- When trying to edit text, it keeps on overwriting your edits
- The “All documents view” is sorted out of order. Instead of showing the newest first, it displays 2024 documents in order from newest to oldest, then halfway down the list it sorts 2025 from newest to oldest.
- When searching for a document, your limited what you can do with search results. You can’t add to the cloud script folder. Why?
- Be sure to add extra blank lines at the end of your script. When the scroller hits the end, it goes back to the beginning instead of stopping. Very frustrating when this happens and you’re finishing the last couple lines and.Again, why?

Not bad
I don't have many complaints with the app and I like the cloud feature. What would make it more valuable to me is being able to access the cloud on the web to type/load/edit scripts. It's nearly impossible to edit in app so I do it on my computer in notes and then from my phone load to neewer cloud. Then save to my cheap tablet I use in the teleprompter. I'd like to be able to type it all up and edit/load in neewer cloud online vs in app.

App will not pair with its remote. I do not consider myself a novice when it comes to tech. I’ve tried all of the suggestions in the instructions. In fact they seem to know about this problem because in the instructions they go out of your way to give you several ways to try to pair the remote
Remote doesn’t work
The apps seems fine other than the BT remote doesn’t actually do anything. It pairs with the iPad but it doesn’t control the app at all.
Does Not Work!!!!!!!
This software won’t even pair with its OWN remote. Useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Works ok.
The app works ok. The issues I had were :
1. During use the screen went black randomly - had to close and reopen the file which is not ideal
2. The cloud is pointless. To save a file to the cloud - you have to download the file to your device then upload it to the cloud - what’s the point of that if I just downloaded it? So I feel the cloud feature is useless unless the feature is improved such as saving the file directly to the cloud or emailing it to your cloud account and it pops up automatically

This app is terrible
Absolutely don’t expect this app to work. It is literally trash. I am very pleased with the Teleprompter from Neewer but the app is horrible. It constantly changes the screen when you move between vertical and horizontal and half the side of the script is off the page and can’t be seen or adjusted. I have tried for days to fix this and it doesn’t work, very sad that this is such a piece of junk. A friend of mine who is a major YouTuber told me of this when I bought the Teleprompter. He uses a free app with a cheap controller and that works much better. I am currently using another Teleprompter app, and will find one that works with a controller.

Works good but
Wish you can add different fonts and change color of the line and able to change color of the words but works ok please add my request it can be a really good app
Horrible
I keep uploading docs and only the first 3 lines show in the app. The rest just disappear. It’s been like this for days now, however worked for the normally for the first week of filming. I’ve tried resetting, logging in/out, and 10 other fixes but it won’t work. Very annoying when you have a filming deadline. Find another option if you want to get your work done!
