Good app

Very nice app and very clear videos.

New update is horrible.

All I’m getting are lost or found pets. I used to be able to block this.

Worthless

I tried using the app to ask the community to help identify a trespasser on my property and Ring/Neighbors would not approve my post even though it followed all their guidelines. The app is worthless unless you’re interested in seeing cats walking by people’s Ring cams.

Unhappy with app

This app don’t allow you to post or asks questions, my post always get denied. I tried posting asking about jobs in the area or asked if anyone knew who was hiring and got denied. All I was asking if anyone know of any remote jobs but got denied.

Posts Rejected by Personal Feelings

Neighbors app is honestly one of the strangest places on the internet.
To post anything, you have to pick from their tiny list of approved categories like you are filling out paperwork at the DMV. Fine. I picked “crime” because, believe it or not, the post was about an actual crime.

Every morning at 6:00 a.m., some genius launches a professional-grade firework and wakes up the entire neighborhood. Not once, but twice, 2 mornings in a row. Pretty sure that checks a few “crime” boxes like disturbing the peace and illegal fireworks.

So this is what I tried to post:
“If anyone knows who is launching a single illegal firework at 6:00 in the morning for the last couple of mornings, can you please report that neighbor of yours to the city so that they can fine him and even execute a search warrant on his house for more of those illegal fireworks?! Please?”

Apparently, that was unacceptable.
Not because it wasn’t about a crime, but because whatever overly-sensitive woke snowflake reviewed it decided it did not meet their personal “criteria.” So now we are at a point where setting off illegal explosives at sunrise is fine, but talking about it is where the line gets crossed.

Makes total sense.
If the app is supposed to be about keeping neighborhoods informed, they might want to start by figuring out what a crime actually is instead of filtering posts based on someone’s personal opinion that day.
